Li atomic weight is 7 whereas Na is 23, a big difference. For ev’s this is a nonstarter due to the sodium batteries also having a much lower energy density capacity. Fine for city cars but useless for anything else that moves.

Anyone mention LFP lately?
Interesting development. The elephant in the room on all of the articles I have read about this Mou is there was no mention of raw material supply……..surely it’s not all going to come via China?
The Atlantic sp is doing well since the ML was announced and the 33p takeover bid isn’t it?
Have a look at all the junior miners and their trajectories wrt what they said and what happened in reality. Show me one that did what they said they’d do timeline-wise….I challenge you….
Skelly85, in case you hadn’t noticed but it’s not KC saying these things. The people in question are the people that are the real lever pushers so in reality whatever KC has said in the past or recently can’t move the dial any quicker. Sack him or keep him I can’t see how anyone else put in his position would have/could have made any material difference. Look beyond your own confirmation bias….
Thanks fireball, good find. All looking good for the real investors here. Disregard the bots and naysayers and patience will reward you.
Jeez Genghis, having only recently bought in here I seem to have jumped from the frying pan into the fire with aim shenanigans and what appears to be (cough cough) underhand tactics. Hope you are well....
Unfortunately, vw and all the other oem’s were either too stupid or arrogant to think that they could do just as they’ve always done. Relying on someone else to build batteries and source the materials was for the birds. The only way afaic for the oem’s to compete is to stop building the high value halo cars and concentrate on the smaller hatchback/city cars that offer cheap running costs and cheap buying costs. Vertical integration HAS to be a part of it. Why they don’t acknowledge this completely beyond me.
I’ve attached a link to a very interesting podcast that I found. I’d never heard of the company and I’m not promoting it but he gives a very insightful view on the industry and hopefully the way forward.

For the avoidance of doubt, to anyone looking on this bb that has either invested here recently or are thinking of investing .
Todays rns is a monumental development. Working out hypothesis of yields, purity, simplicity etc are just UNTIL you do the legwork. We’ve went from small scale lab work to pilot plant and showed fantastic recoveries and purity. We have shown results that all the other juniors and big players would be salivating over. Do not underestimate this rns it is gamechanging.
I suppose that had to be expected. It was only a matter of time. All bb have them. Time to get my filter working
“Environmental impact”……which are?
It’s amazing how many chemical process engineers we have on here talking down the latest rns. From a chemical perspective the carbonate to hydroxide process flow difference are inconsequential. The deramping and foot stomping by the usual suspects are pathetic but not unexpected. Look at the big picture and forget the naysayers. A new mine and process IS a monumental task that takes time, timelines slip due to all sorts of reasons.
Exceptional results…..
Disappointing but not unexpected news regarding vw. All that time and money spent by the cz government bending over backwards trying to accommodate their requests for a suitable site. However, the mine had its own trajectory anyway. What they must do is treat the product and gigafactory as completely separate entities. Waiting on one has imo hampered the other. Get the mine/processing plant up and running and sell to whoever wants it.
The deal with vw and xpeng was announced in June. Since Oem’s are global businesses with interests in every continent their business operations have learned not to put all their interests in the same location. Geopolitically VW needs other gigafactories in Europe, simples.
Unfortunately ALL mining ventures take much longer than anticipated, that’s just the reality of the situation. If you invest here or elsewhere be prepared to have to wait longer than you anticipate.
Skelly85, I’m convinced that when KC announced the dfs, offtakes and mining licence that you’ll still be wingeing. You must be the guy to be around at parties.
Jigman, you mention the New World Metals conference from yesterday. Are you sure it wasn’t from September?
