Thanks, appreciated
Thanks, I’ve tried to get info. from Pelham Capital site but can see nothing? Wanting to get more insight into their logic.
Good morning, I’ve held Hurricane for some time and therefore very much welcome any positive news and increase in price- I’m learning as I go here so would appreciate advice from those more experienced investors- why when normal convention would say large dumps of a stock would result in a drop of SP commentary has been on a rise post yesterday’s major sell? Thanks in advance.
I’ve been buying into this stock for last 6 months (most recently 1 May ‘20). Given the totally chaotic world we currently live in and the impact on other sectors where , on balance, would the doom mongers rather invest in retail, travel, automobile, oil rather than company whose services are one of the few actually in demand and likely to grow??
Held Hurricane for 3 years and generally found this forum useful, however, over that period the overarching fact is share price has moved like a fiddler’s elbow very often without any logic. Strongly held and well presented views expressed on direction of this only for the exact opposite to play out. With a significant holding I now need to make my own call but, to be honest, struggling to decide.
Tindrumgambler. So that’s the total basis for you prediction? It’s done it before and will do it again? I for one, intend to ignore these short term swings and look to the longer term.
Biffadog, thanks for bringing a rational summary of the facts here. Some of these other posts are, at best, barking up the totally wrong tree, one can only surmise motives??
Tindrumgambler: On what basis? Some form of explanation for you prediction would be welcome. Preferably based on fact.
Thanks Daltry, appreciate the response... what you outline was all very new to me (having previously only invested in blue chip etc.) but I’m rather quickly beginning to understand! I absolutely have faith in Hur. and what trying to achieve and have only bought and held over last 3 years. A tactic I’m sure will attract scorn from some quarters but by my own admission fairly inexperienced and would find it difficult to assess timing for a constant “in out” approach. On that basis I’m slowly growing my holding and hoping for overall growth.
Since watching this stock (invested in them 3 years), my biggest difficulty has been trying to understand what external factors are impacting price and what is within Hurricane’s control to some extent. If the markets are reacting in such a way when it’s not necessarily what Hur. do as opposed to how they communicate it can BoD not be more switched on to that. Surely in Hurricane’s best interest to bring some stability here rather than these constant swing??
Many thanks for the welcome adoubleuk, appreciated. Generally the banter good on here and balance with the “serious” stuff fine, just the occasional examples when it’s not I was referring to. Generally informative too...yourself very much included...hence a new recruit signing up. Looking forward to seeing how this Hurricane journey goes!
Good evening, my first post on LSE. By way of introduction, I’ve followed commentary on Hurricane since I bought this stock Aug. 2016. Clear there is a wealth of experience which I have appreciated. Although the off piste diversions on occasion consume time that could be better spent. I have invested in Hurricane fairly regularly over last 36 months and am positive about the future. My main observation at this point is Hur. are very capable on the technical essentials but perhaps give PIs a bit of roller coaster when it comes to PR and communication. Many thanks again for all your thoughts.
