RE: New ?48 million contract3 Dec 2017 22:33
Read it and weep, hows your organisation NHS for sale going. Is it run by the unions.
Rob White, the CCGs clinical lead for urgent and elective care, indicated that he is delighted at the decision of the commission.
We didnt know if there would be an integrated form of bid coming in. Its fantastic to see providers taking on the challenge of working together to align their pathways. Our new integrated NHS 111 and GP out of hours service will be provided by a team of doctors, nurses, and specialist clinicians, White commented.
Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust was also involved with supporting the bid.
This organisation is responsible for running a network of minor injuries units in the county.
Toby Slade, clinical director for emergency care at Royal Cornwall, believes that the new arrangements will enable the local authority to improve care in the region.
We firmly believe that locally managed and truly integrated 111 and GP out of ours services will help to address the bottlenecks in urgent and emergency care.
