Citi sees copper rising to $14,000/T in three months

Feb 24 (Reuters) – Citi on Tuesday said it turns bullish on copper in the near term and expects prices to rise to $14,000 a ton within the next three months.

"Our base case $13k/t average price forecast for 2026 is unchanged, sufficient in our view to broadly balance the global copper market physically this year," Citi added.

No! It was the way he said it so nonchalantly, as if it were neither here nor there, that prompted the comment (and indeed raised my hackles a little...).

Overall, and as usual, a very positive piece confirming many of the assumptions about resources . I love Leon's comment... "we might have taken 3 years longer than we had hoped for... which is a very small timeline...." Three years out of 6!! 3 years when investors money was tied up going nowhere. He seems not understand the implications of repeated delays on investors wealth.
