The only real conclusion is it’s just to try and create doubt, destroy sentiment and create a negative perception toward the company. People may say that these chat boards mean nothing but what other way is there to create a smear campaign if you don’t have your own media outlet or website with investor traffic.

Let’s not forget this isn’t one lie, this is all day everyday for YEARS. One big lie, people will see through, lots of small ones and the narrative can be created how they choose it - similar to how a narcissist operates. If you keep telling the same lie over and over again people will start to believe it.

It’s similar to the recent glass door discussions on here, where these accounts were highlighting certain posts and claiming a loss of Homebase as an ingenuity client. Who’s to say these weren’t written by them? It wouldn’t be hard to create 100 terrible reviews.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I don’t think anyone should underestimate the lows that people will go to make money.

I think you majorly underestimate the power of sentiment in the value of shares.

Look how darktrace climbed to 1000p joining the ftse 100 just by sentiment, no facts, no figures, just the expectation it should go up. Also the likes of Tesla etc.

You also have absolutely no idea how many people read these forums. You post nearly everyday so obviously they must mean something to you and the information and chat they provide. It would be silly not to use them when researching, you can get a basic understanding of the good and bad points within minutes.

If there was no gain to be had for whatever reason spreading FUD they wouldn’t do it. So ask yourself why are they? Hatred for THG? Dislike of Matt? Taken out short positions? Preventing this becoming a meme share and rising on sentiment?

Also don’t forget the power of forums with Reddit being the biggest example and the carnage WSB caused for large institutions.

The truth doesn’t matter. They are flooding message boards with as much negativity as they can to help drive down sentiment.

Let’s say you have 20 potential investors a day glancing over this board to see if it’s worth them putting the time to research and invest. 30 out of 40 posts will be negative and they will move on. Do that everyday and eventually it will make a difference to how now a large portion of investors think of the share. As soon as a whiff of bad news comes out people with think that the negative spam is true and sell.

Or might just be someone with big mental health issues. Who knows..

I’m surprised the us was not leading the way with cuts. Will make it interesting for the boe decision tomorrow. Considering some major lenders have been putting rates up in the last week or two I’d imagine it will be kept the same this time around but perhaps with a more dovish outlook.

I think everyone reading and posting on this forum understands fully the negatives with this share. But you also need to consider that without these negatives we wouldn’t be sat here at this price. Only time will tell if this price is an opportunity or not, but even with the negatives you have listed, most can be changed easily by management restructure and the dip in my protein will only really be concerning in the next update to see if the trend continues or if it was just a one off.

The real problem with the negative posts on this forum are the ones from multiple alias saying the same rubbish eg. ‘This share is a dog’ ‘woof woof’ which isn’t helpful to anyone and only really proves there are some looking at this share with mental health issues.

I like this upgraded Ste, much more pleasant.
