Hmmm, maybe investigation was extended to include involvement in Bion... It's not great, but if there is a formal investigation on Bion as a business, I am sure they would have to publish RNS asap. On that basis I am assuming that it's not the cause of the delay. I think it's more about recent fire and issues caused by lockdown. Maybe there are other external causes we are not aware. Let's see. I am holding to the shares regardless and see what Bion does next.
Profitable after tax and increase in revenue. How many companies can show this? If not for the whole rubbish situation we all are in, the results would be smashing. Still they managed to grow and build up portfolio. AND be profitable.
It's feels like another vehicle to drain some money from the new shareholders who are not aware of ALBA's history. Unless ALBA sells their shares to large prospectors or production started, the share price doesn't make much sense (either up or down). Same old same old, new cover...
Agree with HereKittyKitty. I would like to see some positive impact of establishing this new company on my existing ALBA portfolio. Our shares paid for the work done on those projects and now someone else will benefit from this. As ALBA owns large portion of this business, I would like to see some TLC from them towards existing shareholders
RoppyUs, What's MCO? And why this would prevent access to the company financial/ operational results needed for the accounts? Also, according to today's RNS it's apparently Covid preventing accounts timely submission. That's a bit weird
And I am still waiting for KAP news on the status of production of uranium pellets for the power plants. Moving from a raw product such as ore to a ready to use product such as pellets will have a massive impact on the KAP revenue - same input but more valuable output. With everyone pushing towards greener energy, this won't be overlooked. Poland is already planning to build its first plants. For me, that the true highlight of keeping these shares - moving from a biggest miner to potentially the biggest miner and producer.
From today's YCA RNS :-)
"Yellow Cake, a specialist company operating in the uranium sector with a view to holding physical uranium for the long term, is pleased to announce that pursuant to Kazatomprom's offer of 12 June 2021 (previously announced), the Company has signed the agreement with Kazatomprom to purchase a further 2.0 million lb of U3O8 at a price of US$32.23/lb for a total consideration of US$64.5 million. It is expected that delivery will take place between October and December 2021.
Once this transaction has completed, the Company's total holdings will increase to 15.86 million lb of U3O8."
This is another awesome RNS, I expect the results to be good, but these are way beyond my expectations. Cooperation with YCA and China with reduction of production is paying off. I wonder when we will see RNS about pellets for nuclear power. Miner and producer of one's most precious ores.
Palmsairport, who cares about 2014? The company went through a major reorganization end of 2019 resulting in new experienced board of directors, who bought 25% of the business to be aligned with the shareholders, changed the strategy and tightened cost control. Please refer to RNS 4468R from 30th June 2020. The change of name from Rose Petroleum followed to break with the past.
The new BOD did a great job for the past 2 years if you ask me. From strength to strength, this company is growing well and it is reflected in excellent communication and stakeholders treatment. I believe in new BOD skills and I like what I see. I am also sure we have not seen half of what this company is capable of under this leadership.
This will quickly recover IMO once audited accounts are published for 2020 and (as someone mentioned few weeks ago) the half year results for 2021 are announced with strategy progress outlined. I wish I could invest more at this price. I doubt such opportunity will present itself again once we pass those accounts. But this is my opinion. Dyor
