The development of this new point-of-care diagnostic has the potential to significantly improve care for tens of thousands of patients after a stroke. As part of the DEVOTE project we have been delighted to have worked with genedrive to generate the evidence for this test to become available to patients."

You’re right Stephen! Even at the best case of 2 days that’s far from good enough for a someone who has suffered a stroke. 100K strokes in the uk each year this has some real credibility commercially now!

Cheaper than lab

Less labour intensive than lab

No backlog like a lab

And results can be returned in the hour by the bed or at any location of choice

I can’t envisage any lab returning a result within 24 hours, too much admin and red tape! The test is a massive achievement and adds great value to a depleted share price. Can NICE approval be rolled out in EU/us or fast tracked? ££

Testing can be done at your local gp, pharmacy and even at home if test is completed within 24 hrs , cant see that being done with the nearest lab.

Lab testing is less cost effective, labour intensive and slow! I’d imagine if like almost all NHS services has a huge backlog to fill, hardly what you are after having just suffered a stroke, THIS IS A HUGE STRIDE FORWARD!!!
