At the end of the day (cliche alert) it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. At least, now that if it happens, it will be Oilex who are buying, we will know how much is paid. That will immediately put a value on Oilex.

Also, one further point which regards to taking Align's valuation with a pinch of salt, can be found at the bottom of the article.

Align were paid by Oilex. That is before they fell out over the direction they were taking.

Slight apologies SPQ. I see in the note Align do say 100m usd, which today is £72m. However, that was just their opinion, which seemed optimistic even then. Also, if it really was worth that why on earth would they give it up for the 5m cash calls?
By the way it is not 10 % dilution since then but 40%.
Dont misunderstand me, I am more bullish about Oilex than for years. Just don't think 2p is likely in the near term. Atb.

Callum. That could be a very good guess. Quite likely that Republic, given the massive amount they are in for already, would divi up a few million more.

SPQ. I am not negative at all. Just don't see those sort of valuations are justified. I am a lth and in for far more than is sensible. I have already explained why aligns target from 2 years ago is no longer valid. Where do they say £100 million anyway?

SPQ, who says it is worth £100 million, apart from you. Makes no sense to say that, and then that we will get it for very little given unpaid cash calls, which are around 5m usd.

Hugely different. Align speculated that Oilex might get 100% in exchange for giving up the cash calls. Now they are attempting to buy it for an unknown amount with the help of a financier and who knows what % they will want on return. Also in that time Oilex have lost more than 8m usd. Plus the increase in the number of shares means that over two years any price that was valid then would need to be 40% lower now.
Don't get me wrong, I still think it is possible Oilex could do well from here, but not to that degree in the short term. The bottom line is, we just don't know until we get more detail. Atb.

There is no way of knowing what a fair sp is until we know what the terms of the financing are.

gafferk. Read the rns. The trading halt was only effective until an announcement was made re the acquisition. This came before the opening so trading was never suspended.

MajorHaze. It was not 0.1 it was 0.15 and it went to 0.3 which on the face of it is 100%. However, if you look on asx at the chart immediately below the numbers it shows that most of the last few months it has been at 0.2 which is 50%. Atb.

It did not triple in Sydney. More like 50% up. You need to look at the chart.

Was just about to say looks like we have peaked for the day when it started to go up again. 0.168 to buy on a dummy trade. Did a stupid thing a liitle while a go. On another dummy trade, my finger slipped and I accidently bought a piddly 200,000 at 0.15. Comic thing is I am now showing a profit on those. Brought my average down from 0.325 to 0.320. Lol.
