Yes Callum. Agree totally with all the carbon neutral stuff. Personally, I don't think oil or even gas will last another 30 years. My guess is that in 10 to 15 years any state with large carbon footprints will become outcasts. Also, they will get a lot of help from the more developed countries.
Even as a physicist for a long time I was sceptical about global warming. That was based on my knowledge of historical climate records, which showed huge variation over only a few centuries, which is an eye blink in geological terms. Started to change my opinion about 20 years ago, and now the evidence is overwhelming. It now seems you read about weather events which should be once a century, occurring somewhere in the world about once a month. Record heatwaves, droughts, rainfall, hurricanes etc. Then there's glaciers disappearing, ice caps melting.
The scientist in me really wishes I could live another 50 years just to see what happens but I suppose every generation has wished that. Atb.
