Hi Steven. I am positive to a degree otherwise I wouldn't have got back in albeit to a smaller degree. Would be happy if next year it got back to say 0.5 I would then review the situation and decide where to go from there.
My main concern is that Roland might massively grow the company but because of the finance arrangements small investors might not share in that good fortune. Not saying that's going to happen but as you know from past experience that sort of thing is not totally unheard of.
Of course it could easily go the other way, that a Roland has a trump card up his sleeve and we will be quids in. Atb.

the scams that crop up on this page (and elsewhere). Just seen one for something called bitcoin equaliser that claims it can make everyone 6 figures a month. It claims Deborah Meaden was on breakfast television saying everyone can get rich quick. Oh and it's backed by Richard Branson, Bill Gates etc. I suppose some people must fall for it or they wouldn't bother.

Thanks guys. Interesting stuff. Yes 1990 was quite early to be sounding the alarm bells. From memory it wasn't long before then that I first started to discuss it with work colleagues. Remember one guy in particular who was convinced very early whilst others dismissed it out of hand. I sat on the fence until about 2000 and have become steadily more convinced since.
I could be wide of the mark but the reason I feel fossil fuels may not last as long as people think, is the pace at which things have moved in recent years. Who woukd have thought a few years ago that oil majors would ever talk about becoming carbon neutral.

Yes Callum. Agree totally with all the carbon neutral stuff. Personally, I don't think oil or even gas will last another 30 years. My guess is that in 10 to 15 years any state with large carbon footprints will become outcasts. Also, they will get a lot of help from the more developed countries.
Even as a physicist for a long time I was sceptical about global warming. That was based on my knowledge of historical climate records, which showed huge variation over only a few centuries, which is an eye blink in geological terms. Started to change my opinion about 20 years ago, and now the evidence is overwhelming. It now seems you read about weather events which should be once a century, occurring somewhere in the world about once a month. Record heatwaves, droughts, rainfall, hurricanes etc. Then there's glaciers disappearing, ice caps melting.
The scientist in me really wishes I could live another 50 years just to see what happens but I suppose every generation has wished that. Atb.
