I only first got interested in shares when I got some free ones in a building society I had savings in, around 2000. Also, regret not starting much earlier. It was almost impossible not to make money in the 80's and 90's. Ironic thst the ftse 100 is now barely above where it was on the last day of the old millennium.
Hardly call the nuclear car thing a tip. Lol. Doubt if even on Aim you could float a company that violates the laws of physics. Although, come to think of Flash Gordon's Atomic Motors has a ring to it. Atb.

I do have a wry smile about the alarm over inflation of 4 %. I am old enough to remember it reaching 26%, in the mid 70's. I remember the temporary great feeling one year when I got a rise of 28%. Of course that was soon eroded by rising prices. In some ways the government would love a few years of high inflation as it reduces the value of the national debt, but of course it is a disaster for those on low wages.
A lot of people seem keen on RR. Just googled their smaller modular reactors. Interesting. As an ex physicist I don't believe it's possible for a reactor to be small enough to fit in a car.
The real holy grail for nuclear is fusion power, which they seem to have been talking about most of my lifetime. They are making progress but practical reactors always seem to be a decade or two down the line.

Yes Qs. I was considering buying asos as I indicated. They had been 50 quid not long ago. Thought they might be a bargain on the low thirties. When I asked on here if anyone had any thoughts, Mailgirl came back with a pointers as to why they might have problems. Was thinking of buying before Thursday when results were due. Got lucky when results came out early today. Now down to 25 quid. Might be tempted but will probably just wait. Atb.

A bit of quick googling says that is an offshore block, part of the Cambay basin that had been farmed out by Cairn to ongc. Not sure how up to date thst is, or the relevance. Atb.

Jack. Everything we've heard from Joe and Roland (and Jasper) indicates that they will be trying the new techniques which involve different proponants etc, we just have to wait and see. Atb.
