Does anyone have experience of this sort of thing on Barclays Smart Investor? Just tried a trial stop sell order. Set a stop at 0.6. When I reviewed it there was a warning that the stop price was above the current price and it might execute immediately. That would only make sense if it was a buy order, which it wasn't.
Also, what I would really like to do is set a trailing stop sell order, where if the price goes above a certain point you can then set it to sell once it peaks, then drops by an amount which you can set. eg. Sell if it reaches say 0.6 then drops to 0.5.
It describes trailing stops in their orders explained info, but when you go to the drop down list to select order type it is not listed as an option.
Guess, I may have to ring them. Atb.
