Owned shares are still free float, they are unrestricted. This is at 48%.

Restricted shares (ie. the remaining 52%) are restricted shares held by insiders and directors. Ashley’s shares will still be free float.

Financial Times and marketscreener both have free float at 48%

That's not correct, the free float is just over 48%. 59m of the 119m shares are free float

48% is a small free float, you'll see most companies well over 80-90%

There has also been no profit warning, and nothing to suggest any RI is on the way. Is everything going to pot behind the scenes? Has there been a leak of bad news coming? Maybe. But we have no evidence of any of that, it's just noise. Let's wait and see.

First Seagull were in the running to takeover Superdry, so perhaps are looking to do the same here? Either way, it does feel as though some positivity is returning here and we know the SP can fly (and nosedive) on a dime.

After a near 2 and a half year wait, I was optimistic this would be an exciting day. What a sour taste this leaves.

Impossible to buy any at the moment on HL at these levels, presumably expected? The crooks loading up at these levels and nobody else gets a look in?

Anyway should see a reasonably solid green day, plenty to be optimistic about going forward which should allow some positive momentum over the coming months.

Slower progress in the SP than I had anticipated following the results, but getting there nonetheless.

SP was steady at or above 300p following the July announcement the results would be in line with expectations. The results are now in and they are in line, with arguably a touch more positivity than expected.

I see nothing stopping the SP getting comfortably back to 300-350p range in the short term, unless I'm missing something?

GSA have been short for 12 months now and tinker with it a lot. 1st November 2023 and 4th December 2023 they dipped below the threshold and reappeared above it again later (1 day later for the former, 6 months later for the latter).

Not seeing them again may be a positive indicator.

For further reference, Qube's short has now halved from it's peak.

Much of Arrowstreet's short increased when the SP was at give or take 350p. They haven't reduced since the positive update. Seeing them reduced at the elevated price would be very positive.

GSA dip below the reporting threshold - have reduced to 0.49% short

Total shorts will now show 1.69% - Qube 0.80% , Arrowstreet 0.89%
