There are a great number of ultra premium gins and other spirits out there who will be only too happy to team up with the ultra premium East Imperial range. And a huge and growing number of 5-Star hotels, resorts and venues where exclusivity trumps price.
Not much news that we didn't know previously. Market distinctly underwhelmed by results. Still no mention of even a pilot launch in the UK. Recent awards might help raise the profile a bit overseas, but the product really has to appear on shelves in the UK to raise awareness.
Distribution changes being introduced in the USA
From East Imperial : "... we are no longer selling our products directly from our website as we are expanding our offering to service all states.
But have no fear, you can have our full range of cans delivered to your door from our US Amazon store, or alternatively you can use our store locator on our website to find local stockists near you."
RNS still refers to "the customer" without naming them, even though we are fairly sure who it is. Presumably it is for them to proclaim how pleased they are to be purchasing this state of the art MDA System. We could do with some fanfare to boost the SP above what is a fairly muted response so far. Well done SRT.
Another confident interview with Tony Burt who remains totally focussed on East Imperial's expansion & development. The turbulence of the boardroom shuffle should soon subside, with the result that there is a very strong team to take this company forward.
Looking back to the emergence of Fevertree and its amazing impact on the mixers market, I am still mystified by the incredibly flat-footed response by Schw.... to the emergence of the cheeky upstart. Anyway, that's all history now and Fevertree has shown what can be achieved in a relatively short period.
The explosion of interest in Gin worldwide has led to a fantastic proliferation of new brands big and small. Not a week goes by without new 'unique' Gins coming to the market with prices ranging from the modest to the eye-watering.
Which brings us to the Mixers market.
Fevertree has shown what can be achieved by good product, good branding, good marketing and efficient distribution.
My first (and subsequent) impressions of East Imperial are of a top class range which can even upstage Fevertree in the premium and ultra premium mixers market.
Expansion of the business from NZ, Australia, East Asia and now the USA is logical and timely and I look forward to news of expansion and consolidation in all those territories. I am impatient to see East Imperial arrive in the UK, but I can wait (DV!)
Aboard and staying aboard. Good luck fellow travellers.
Expect to see further director purchases of stock.
