...so much 'Tosh' spoken regarding 'The Chinese Death Virus' that I'm convinced the worst is over and from here the only way is up!
I didn't get my sub £10 buy so my view is this has bottomed and I'm ploughing the remainder of my available funds in. I'll probably split between today and tomorrow, but anything below 1050 will seem like a bargain in a month pr so.
...never fails to amuse !
All doom and gloom, profit warning due etc and I went off to work fully expecting my buy order (990p) to be filled, lo and behold, SP rises !
I sometimes think the MM's wait for an excuse to tell their mates to sell, then pull the rug and drop everything, thus allowing them to buy back in at bargain prices.
Am I being paranoid?
NXT, GBG, NCC, KLR, CWK amongst others.
Still 35% up even in today's market, and good divi's along the way.
I don't chase the penny profits anymore.
Buy good stocks, when they're low, and don't panic, they'll come back.
Certainly a buying window here, but as EZJ usualy falls in Spring, due to lower Winter income, it may still go sub 1000. For sure, a good chance to get in or top up, just a matter of when to call the bottom, which I never get right!
This is one of the best stocks in my ISA, all about timing.
The question is, will the normal XD drop be exaggerated this year by the CV effect?
We could usually expect around 40-50p drop, so any big sell of after the XD may send this lower.
However, I think the idiot who suggested a drop to £1 needs treatment!
...from Italy and the rest of Europe will affect EZJ badly.
The good news is that we don't go much further East, so we should escape the worst of the downturn, but Italy is a good market for EZJ and any long term downturn will hit profits.
...the rise here (and most of my other 'Goldies') today, but why has this risen so much more?
Bear in mind though, SOLG has lost a lot over the last couple of years and even all the bits of good news haven't done much to get it up again (maybe NM needs to vist FUM!) so we are starting from a low base.
As we all know, the value is there, it just needs to be capitalised on.
Having stayed with CEY through the bad times, it's good to see headway being made.
The forthcoming dividend makes holding the better option, however common sense says sell now and buy more back IF the SP tumbles.
The question in my mind is, why should it now tumble?
If £/AU stays strong, surely SP can only improve or do we have any bad news lurking in a dark corner awaiting it's chance to shock us yet again? Egypt is full of surprises.
My average here is 92p (That's how long I've been in!) so the temptation is to take a little profit. My instinct though says that this is the start of a new era for CEY and hopefully the BoD will rid us of the 'One trick pony' tag whilst providing increasing income.
Still NT to buy at HL!
Bought?
...11.5p to sell but NT to buy!
...for 11.3p,
As if you would!
...and good that the plant will soon be running 24/7 which will enable the various improvements to be built upon.
The improved cashflow should help, but a statement regarding longer term finance would be welcomed.
Still see this as a bottom drawer job.
LOL!
I could have written that myself.
I often wonder why we subject ourselves to the trials and tribulations of SOLG (and others) when more steady returns can be obtained at Easyjet, Next, GBG and the like.
Like many on here, I saw SOLG as a go ahead explorer, who would develop a world class prospect and within a reasonable timeframe, sell it on or develop it to the stage where a high bid would come from one of the majors. Still waiting.
My SIPP, where I invest in companies like the above, for income rather than capital growth, has grow by over 35% over the last 10 years, whilst providing a reasonable income. My ISA on the other hand, which is home to my speculative shares, SOLG, ANGS, IOG, and a myriad of other 'Great Prospects' has lost over 30% and given nothing back.
Is there a lesson there? I'm sure there is but sadly, we all hang on and hope.
This time next year Rodney...
...Russell Cash taking almost £20k's worth.
At this price, the divi is almost 7%, buy and tuck away.
...Are you mad?
For anybody who bought in at the 'Bargain Price' following the drop, (anywhere over £12), this is a disaster!
IF the T/O happens, it will be at a price which means a big loss for most and the fact that there is still more bad news to come will ensure that we don't get a big enough rise to get out before that happens.
Only good for the more talented Day Traders i'm afraid.
Bellers:
Interesting to hear about the improvement in your sleep. What is the quality of sleep like and the effect in the morning?
I've had poor sleep patterns for years and don't use sleeping tablets or even 'Night Nurse' because of the horrible aftereffects next day, (they make me very irritable and short tempered). I have tried other forms of Cannabis, which help me sleep but leave me 'Dopey' next day.
As a LTH here, from the early days in fact, I would be delighted if the 'New' products can provide relief to my sleep deprevation, whilst being a cause of improvement in my pension!
