Throughout this year, the monthly newsletter has been released in the last few days of the month in question, or just a few days into the following month, so on that basis September update should be due by the end of first week in October at the latest. If no newsletter is forthcoming by then, I would say that will present fairly severe challenges for the 8-9p range the SP is bouncing about at the moment!
If there is nothing forthcoming, in that case it would be "No News" will be bad news!
Surely they will have something to report in the next 2 weeks?

Just wondering if there may be an RNS in the morning with result updates, prior to the Presentation in London tomorrow.
The company seems to be doing things well, but the share price/trades do not appear to be linked into that at present.
Hopefully tomorrow will kick start an upwards movement.

Does anyone know what company carried out the 2D seismic operations previously?
I have a friend who is a geologist working out of Vancouver, and he is involved with diamond/emerald explorations in northern Canada and Greenland. He has dealings with The Lundin Group for seismic work, but he is suggesting that lead-in times for any seismic work are pretty long at the moment and possibly the pattern globally?
If we are not able to get this organised and executed soon, then this year does look to be over and would be May next year at the earliest before we get the ball rolling again, assuming rainfall is low enough and ground conditions good enough to proceed.
I get the feeling now that we have lacked a middle level of management/staff to provide the backroom work for planning all possible moves going forward, as after TAI 1 with the Sidetrack and Washouts curtailing the data we expected, we seem to have lost time and direction, and at present, seem like a bit of a rudderless ship - hopefully an RNS or two will prove me wrong!

Ian Stalker had 10.65m shares prior to this morning, so has fallen back approx. £2m in value from the 28p point, so adding £20k worth today is a token gesture but is encouraging - he could have sold a lot more of his holding on the way down

Do you think Tai-2 was just a contractual obligation to meet the written word as it were, and shake hands on a 2 Drill, underwhelming drilling campaign?
End of - no compensation claims from either side?
It just seems too me that they could have fired shots into the top cased section( 0-400m ?) at Tai-1 and done wire logging on that? or would that not be possible?

Was having a look through Mitchell Drilling International Site looking for clues of any current involvement/pullback at Rukwa, without success, but interestingly, they are part of the Mitchell Group which is a very large, diverse group of companies with investment and project development interests in the mining/energy sector.

Thanks for that info! Looks as though there are possible solutions going forward if the Mitchell era is at an end!
Had a look to see if there were drilling companies, and a few appear to have bases in Dar-esSalem such as MTL Consulting?

I think you may well have hit the nail on the head there.
In new projects, quite a lot of emphasis is put on the partnership between the explorer and the drilling contractor, as was the case in this instance, with HE1 describing Mitchell's as "world class", "Randy Donaldson with 40 years w/wide experience", and "they would get the job done" comments initially. I don't know, but it appears odd that this praise for the drilling contractor has now disappeared and no mention has been made in last RNSs and Twitter releases. Normally mention would be made that we are planning our next steps with the contractor, referencing the mobilisation of new drilling kit or not - but nothing!
Question for those in the know - are there other Major Contractors in East Africa, with Bases and Drilling Plant that could be called upon?

Totally concur with what you are suggesting, aiming down to the 552/561 gas shows will be the main area of interest, with the biggest drill and casing that is practical, and then doing the wire logging and DST testing.
I was hoping that the instrumentation would be calibrated to get more accurate data on the shallower mud shows at 70m, and they could inform us with an RNS, but they may well just keep that under their hats, and wait until they have evaluated all the data for the main target. Patience is the name of the game now.

Identification of Helium Enriched Gas Shows in the Lake Bed Formation

Helium One (AIM: HE1) ("Helium One" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the presence of helium enriched gas in drilling mud (a "Gas Show") in the Lake Bed Formation while drilling Tai-1 well at the Rukwa Project (100%) in Tanzania.
Highlights:
· Helium shows identified in shallow strata from 70.5 metres
· Micro-Gas Chromatograph showing He concentrations up to 22,084ppm (2.2%) He in gas recovered from drilling mud
· Drilling operations will continue to the base of Lake Bed Formation, anticipated to be at 400 metres, before wireline logging can provide additional information

Helium One commenced exploration drilling at its flagship Rukwa Project in Tanzania at 4pm local time on Saturday 12th June. Drilling progressed slowly through soft surface sediment until conductor casing was cemented at a depth of 55 metres, allowing 24 hour 'PQ' size open hole drilling operations to commence from approximately 5pm local time on Saturday 19th June.

At approximately 6:30pm local time on Saturday 19th June, at a depth of 70.5 metres, the Helium One mud logging crew detected helium in mud at a concentration of 22,084ppm (2.2%) He. The gas show is situated at the base of a 20 metres thick shale unit and persisted at >10,000ppm (>1%) He for 4-6 meters. Readings were made on the Micro Gas Chromatograph only, which had not yet been calibrated in the field.

Drilling will continue to the Base of the Lake Bed Formation, anticipated to be at 400 metres. At this point the Company will then commence wireline logging to gain additional information on the formation reservoir characteristics and identify any potential pay zones. After logging the Lake Bed Formation, this section of the hole will be cased and drilling will continue to Basement.

So surely it will be less than 3 -6 Weeks to release some news on possible finds/results/interpretation of shallower targets in the Rukwa Basin

Agree that it is unlikely that any moves would be made until there are some solid results in the form of a discovery, but given the rare commodity label that helium has, then we should have more interested onlookers lurking in the bush than your normal run of the mill O&G or Metals exploration companies!

Have been looking at the location of the initial Rukwa target sites, Itumbula, Mbuni, Kasuku, and additionally Tai as a must drill update after seismic shoot demonstrated the faulted 3 way dip closure.
Looking at the mapped area, all the above targets are within an area 20km x 15km which is approx. 300 sq. kilometres or 108 sq. miles, about 2/3 the size of the Isle of Wight - not a massive area at all!
Going forward, I think this "augers well" for easy re-location for next drill site choices as the distances are really quite small.
After listening to Ian Stalkers interview yesterday, I think the company looks to be in a very good position financially, and on the ground, with great potential to achieve a discovery of free helium!
Regarding the Rig, if in fact we do need a bigger drill, it may well be in process now, and once onsite (Tai or otherwise), would not be like a maiden start-up, as we have the other infrastructure, support and supply lines in up and running just now.
With the above, and the decision to extract more data at Tai-2, the company must be starting to make the big players sit up and take notice of what is unfolding in Rukwa?

Think they will use bigger drill bit (6.825"), as they started TAI-1 with as well, and reduced as they went down and cased.
Difference on TAI-2 might be that they know the make-up of the geology going down now, and presumably they will try and maintain as large a bore hole as possible for as deep as possible, allowing them to do DST. They may get to the 561m depth where they encountered the 9m show, before the breakage and lost bit, hopefully in a straight clean bore, and if testing and further logging are successful, may then venture further down. There has been talk of the Rig being a "Cheap Rig" for slimline boring, but the Rig in place has the capability to do appraisal drilling to more than 1200m

Could they be possibly looking at something similar at TAI-1 in the existing hole, the the tooling inside the drill bit string?
If that was possible, could be a cost saver to get data from the 4 lower shows!
