Senegal – A Free Carried Interest with Serious Upside1 Dec 2025 07:13
While Cameroon leads the narrative, Oriole also owns a valuable stake in the Senala project in Senegal — one of West Africa’s most prolific gold regions. Partnered with Managem Group (who replaced IAMGOLD), Oriole retains a 35–41% free-carried interest after Managem spent over $5.8M on exploration.
Senala already boasts a maiden Inferred resource of 155,000 oz Au at the Faré South prospect, and the broader Faré zone holds an exploration target of up to 650,000 oz. What’s more, drilling at the Saroudia and Madina Bafé targets indicates there could be additional systems at play across the licence (RNS, 28 Sept 2023).
This is a fully funded JV — Oriole spends nothing, but benefits from all upside. The two companies are now finalising a formal JV agreement to expand on the existing resource.
In a market where juniors scramble to fund exploration, Oriole holds a strategic interest in a proven gold belt with zero capital exposure. As Managem progresses drilling and adds ounces, Oriole’s slice could quietly grow in value.
Senala is a perfect example of “hidden value” the market isn’t pricing in.
