The drop is overdone but in all fairness that was a terrible RNS by anyone's standards!

Im very positive on angus and am lucky enough to have a good average so the drops and swings are easier to take but the total lack of how to write a RNS is a worry. It is like sending you Mrs a message saying "I'm leaving" and actually meaning to write "I'm leaving to pick you up some diamond earrings".

That RNS could have made the market sit up and say these guys are serious even with the Christmas break if it was well justified however it just made them look silly!

The RNS was needed but the wording is what has let it down. Should have said how pleased they were to start on time! Hydrocarbons to the surface (if that has happened)! Looking forward to positively updating us with flow data in the new year.

This is not complex stuff, I can write the same letter 5 times in different ways and each one could be taken in a different light. The one they wrote today was taken by the wider market in a negative light!!

Directors of a business are not here to teach lessons! They are here to positively represent the company and do the best for shareholders. The RNS was required but the wording was poor and has left more questions than answers.
