I can only hope š
Yes, but itās not all about efficiency ā¦
Practicality, flexibility, timeā¦
Also, Efficiency can apply at many different component, subsystem, system levels of a capability. (Any of ICE, FCEV,EV etc)
Whatās the overall lifecycle efficiency cost including, end to end build to disposal/recycle/reuse cost, time to refuel recharge, again end to end cost, and on and onā¦
After you have done all the maths adding the whole lifecycle efficiency costs together for each. ?
Probably not a huge difference depending on your use case and number of years.
User preference will then be the driving factor once/if, hopefully thereās a choice.
Come on all H2 Use Cases!
Not all of us live in towns and cities and can use bikes!

Yes to H2 alternative for me!

Better for the planet recycling existing materials and ā¦?
When?

Just found this from David Buik
āHSBC to takeover SVB BANK UK. All depositors money is safe. Brokered by the Government. The swiftness in expediting this deal is to be commended. Dix point to HSBC. This could prove to be a gem of an investment in time!ā
Great article Arthur
Does JCB still have links to ITM. I seem to recall they took their ITM investment away, probably to develop this engine?
If the numbers add up this engine could be the way to go for the planet. Same torque and power and similar bottom end technology. Lots less precious metals and lots of existing vehicles to recycle?
Good luck with the Hot and Cold testing

Hereās the current Hansard draft minute

Domestic heating generates 14% of the UKĆ¢ā¬ā¢s carbon dioxide emissions, but blending natural gas with just 20% hydrogen would be the equivalent of taking 2.5 million cars off the road. We are already lagging behind Germany, France and Chile, which have decided to blend up to 20%, while Italy, Canada and Australia are close behind. Can the Minister assure me that the GovernmentĆ¢ā¬ā¢s decision on blending hydrogen in our gas network will be a positive one so that we can stop tailing our European counterparts?
Graham Stuart
A plethora of announcements, on a number of issues, will be coming out of the Department in the coming weeks. Hydrogen is an important area in which we are a world leader; it is my intention, as I know it is my hon. FriendĆ¢ā¬ā¢s, to ensure that we remain in pole position.
Get on with Hydrogen now comes to mind!

BP Ā£8 Billion for transition ( where they can leverage ā¦?), but sadly Ā£8 Billion for oil and gas????
Agree toneman.
The SP has already been hammered due to incompetence in managing this company.
With the new CEO and shakeup, the company and SP should start to recover.
They say you get what you wish for ??, still hope to win the lottery??
It would be good to know what through life policies are in place for the future.
New versions of any subsystems to keep technology updated with tech progress and efficiencies. Interchangeable with older models?
As the new CEO says itās a big step from a R&D set up to a an output production company.
We donāt want a drip drip drip feed. A good clean out needed perhaps?
Spot on toneman. As an engineer I and most of my colleagues see past the efficiency calculations and prefer the more flexibility, speed of refuelling that a vehicle hydrogen fuel solution would provide.
Obviously green hydrogen - eventually. A balanced transition though.
The government has to see past just BEV and support a mixed solution for vehicles. Whilst increasing green and nuclear electric generation all on a massive scale. This will support the development and growth of the UK, are they blind?
