Tricky - I get the impression that Ukraine is moving away from Europe’s position and realising that their bread is better buttered with the Americans, so I don’t think the uk or France will have any meaningful influence in these talks.

You have to remember initially talks were only planned between Russia and US, I detect a change bringing Ukraine into the fold and they won’t want to jeopardise that by listening to idiots like starmer and macron.

Tricky - i think if Ukraine made unreasonable demands the Americans would have ended the meeting, the fact talks have been going on for several hours IMO is a good thing.

I also expect the americans would have sounded out the russians before this meeting anyway and would have a good idea what would fly and what would not
