Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A possible fly in the ointment Sandy is that this guy McGlone may be travelling to a different destination that most PI's.
Since he has just recently bought fuel for the Journey he may only be planning to go to a destination called 2X or 3X.
Most PIs have been on the journey for years and expect to go to a town far away called 5x or even to the end of the rainbow called 10x.
Unfortunately having been redirected around a roundabout by SEE for years the chance that we will make those far horizons becomes less by the day/month/year.
This serial misdirection by SEE as well as the occasional breakdown in road repair equipment has miffed many passengers.
Seize - I don't think there will be a "product" launching in May....Blue Label identifies the state of the product development...
It may be that Collins will pay something for achieving that status but it will not be a commercial product.
"A blue label part is controlled and maintained and is restricted for use in a laboratory environment only"
I must say Brockwl I was gobsmacked by the comment that they still didn't know why Q2 Auto numbers were so low.
Surely that would have been explored immediately the shortfall came to light? Some people on here were immediately able to point to low US EV sales in Q4 2024 (calendar).
Sounded like a politician's kick it down the road answer and hope no one asks again. Not acceptable.
I was under the impression that we were well on the way to having this facility in our DMS ??
“This is really a first look at the feasibility of vision-based sensors to differentiate alcohol in driving,” said Tim Brown, director of drugged driving research.
Where are they getting all the money - what is the AIM ?
I sincerely hope they see a great return for the very significant annual R&D Investment.
If they do then they really should clean the floor with future contracts.
We can only hope from the outside there are no vanity projects in here and the spend is well focused.

Terry, that is very good news. Doubling the mileage available for Supercruise must widen its appeal to the driving community and hopefully make it viable for GM to extend Supercruise to a wider range of vehicles.

Terrym,
"Good to start seeing as standard...."
Not really standard - this is a self-confessed " luxury leader" according to the blurb.
We need to see it in Focus, Fiesta, Corolla equivalents to drive volumes.
".... leave us well positioned to meet FY2024 expectations and cash break even run rate during FY2025...."
Unfortunately getting to "cash break even run rate during FY2025" does not preclude them running perilously low or out of cash in the meantime.
And how they could be meeting Fy24 targets when H1 Auto DMS figures are significantly below the projected run-rates(as mentioned by Brockwl) is a mystery. They really should not disappoint like this without giving an explanation.
Makes one feel that perhaps they haven't one.
Thank you modestguy. I've gone back and listened again and of course PMG did not reference Smarteye at all and was talking about Guardian 3 not Auto DMS.
Seize has quoted him completely out of context.
The reason I questioned him is that I could not believe PMG would be so dismissive of SEYE at this stage or that I wouldn't have picked up on it.
"...We also have Smarteye with their 'cheap beeping box' trying to offer it literally for free so they gain critical mass...."
Hi Seize,
Where is the quote "cheap beeping box" from ? I haven't noticed SEYE's product described as such.
Also "trying to give it away literally for free" - where is the evidence for this? - seems very unlikely.
I guess it is from the job description.....
"...Building strategies, roadmaps and products that protect road, rail, mining and marine operators from fatigue and distraction...."
The marine is still at the "strategy" stage I expect unless we hear otherwise.....
