Done some research on Sibanye, I suggest everyone read the end of September report, you'll see their profitability and cost margins. They've restructured their borrowing used on the still water purchase on great terms. Still water itself was purchased for £2.2bn, the sp was 150% higher than where it is now only a few months ago, yes lonmin sp has taken a hit but so has sibanye so this is still a great deal for lmi holders. Now with the research done, I'll be holding for the multi bagging, I'm already sitting on big (for me) profits, but I think this has a long way to go yet. I'm interested to see what happens next week, I just think the potential is huge. Good luck all.
Easy mistake, i wasn't sure of the reason but thought something didn't add up. Will research some more over the weekend when I get a chance but very happy with what I know so far. Obviously the fact it's an all share deal helps preserve cash that could be used to restructure the business, but haven't looked at Sibanye's balance sheet yet.
Cheers hereshopin, jmo stated the mcap of sibanye in a post yesterday that did surprise me. Makes sense now. Huge potential here, expect sibanye share price to go up in the coming weeks due to the bargain price deal.
JMO - you said yesterday that sibanye had a mcap of £33bn, hereshopin has stated that's the rand value so its roughly £2.6bn, you still think that the enlarged company can't have a value of 5.2bn or even £10bn going forward?? Lmi was valued at 6 odd billion in its hay day. Even more confident of this multi bagging now. Potential here is huge!!!
Hahaha I thought there must be a reason. So the actual value in gpb of sibanye is about 2.6bn??
'Following completion of the Acquisition, Lonmin Shareholders will hold approximately 11.3 per cent. of the Enlarged Sibanye-Stillwater Group and Sibanye-Stillwater Shareholders will hold approximately 88.7 per cent. of the Enlarged Sibanye-Stillwater Group.' If sibanye mcap is £33bn, 11.3% is about £3.5bn, We are valued at £235ml at present. Am I missing something????
With lmi it is easy to use the momentum strategy of investing, this stock can't help itself. The drop was way over done, possible manipulation to get the deal done, there's probably a lot in the background we do not know about. This should still be close to a £1 & if Sibanye rises then even better for lmi.
Momentum is definitely with the bulls.
well done to anyone who invested yesterday or held their shares.
Even touched 86p, let's see where we end up today, I've said many times when lmi starts moving it finds it hard to stop :)
Hangseng I agree with you, having been regularly reading this board & other bb's I doubt very much he held 25% of his portfolio & if he did he would have sold out by now. He doesn't hold for long. Jmo to his credit is upfront with his buys & sells, unlike some.
And away.... can we get close to 85p...?
Ignore not filtered, one of the points you left out which is also another possibility that lmi get there act together, over the last 6monthd there's been significant operational efficiency taking place, with this deal in place lmi might be able to further reduce work force & be more profitable especially if platinum price increases. So they've in effect brought themselves time & if fundamentals improve they could even walk away from the deal. Opinions are fine, it's people's agenda that cost others money, Rastuss the rat was a perfect example, was spouting nonsense half the time and after this deal (instead of the 1p rights issue he was expecting) his disappeared. There are a lot of holders that can be easily swayed who would have sold out at losses due to that. Looks like it's broken 80p let's see where this ends up.
JMO - I don't like to interact with certain individuals and you just like rastuss are one them. But I'll give you this one for free, the sp of lmi is approx 78p at present, for it to multi bag we need a sp of 156p, which until takeover could be dependent on good news, operational or a rival bid. If that doesn't occur SGL have had a sp within only the last few months of approx 12bn more than the 34bn market cap in this low platinum environment. The company will become a monster, when platinum prices recover and the operational efficiencies take place after recent purchases you don't think the company has the potential for a new high mcap? You are the one who makes a number of definitive statements that are factually incorrect like this won't go over £1 now because of the TO, you don't have a crystal ball, I gave my opinion and will always suggest people to their own research, so back to my ignore list. GL all holders.
Hi hereshopin, I think with the synergies between the company's and the potential operational efficiency this could become a monster company. LMI in its day was valued over £2bn, now they can ride the low platinum prices and when it increases watch it multi bag. Over recent years we've seen what can happen to commodities & how they can react, made huge gains with ved & kaz. Think this is the next one for those who are patient. Gl all
SBL has huge potential and is also as upside of 33% to it's sp of a couple of months ago. Do your research, know your position and ignore the muppets here who don't have a clue. Gl all
I'm expecting this to break 80p today, that would be a great sign for next week. Gl all
There are some clueless people on this board that comment as if they actually know what they are talking about. I'm loving this rise today, I mentioned yesterday the pandora deal being finalised was huge news and to expect positive news really soon & here we are today. This was an educated investment/risk for me. Brought 4 lots with an average price of 64p and have over 200k shares. Im expecting shenanigans today with the SP but expect this to continue the uptrend next few days. Lmi is still significantly undervalued, sibanye has a great deal & holders can now benefit from the knowledge that there is no/minimum risk to the company. There's a long way to go til mid 2018, so more positive news could follow such as another bid, positive trading statement, increase in PGMs, what this deal gives is a floor for the SP with massive upside. Catch the good folk later, good luck all.
Shorters off easy here. I'll come back in the afternoon to see where we are. P.s funny how the rat has disappeared after clogging up this board with his non stop incorrect c7ap. His no doubt cost a lot of people money... scum! Go holders
Yes all good, expect this to be a lot higher both short & long term. The potential that sibanye will have is huge & they are getting a great deal here so might even hold this for longer than I planned.
