Depends if they can figure out where it’s coming from , if it’s a certain zone etc found by Eline logs they could potentially set a straddle / sleeve across that zone , there means of chemicals or gels can be used to shut it off also
Increasing water cut isn’t great but is easy enough for them to log and locate and hopefully mechanically shut off the effective zone or gel injection etc etc, onto the upside ANOTHER WELL TO BE DRILLED THIS YEAR nice
We believe that now is the optimal time to focus our portfolio on our low-cost production business in Egypt and high impact exploration opportunities in the Caribbean and Latin America. The proceeds of this transaction and those of the previously announced North Sea asset divestments will further strengthen our balance sheet to support this growth strategy
Different field but a nice wee read on the lower bahariya reservoir - The interpretation of the available well log data for the SWQ-21 and SWQ-25 wells for the Lower Bahariya Formation reflects a good reservoir quality for oil production in its topmost part. This reservoir possesses low SW (<50%), high porosity (16%), low SW/SXO and low BVW (<0.09) which all reflect a high potential for oil production.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s results, unsure if will have the well test results included as personally think we are still a week away from that but exciting times ahead with the extra Egypt drill added onto this years drilling programme.
Still a sting buy from me and can’t see any other than a very rewarding company to be invested in over the next couple of years
Very happy with results today, more bbls to add to the daily production. Been here few years now and all starting to take shape, exciting times ahead with Jamaica being valued at 11p to the share price of my memory is right . This will climb eventually and be very well rewarded come 2022
People are entitled to their own opinion, I’m not bothered one bit the amount they are paying themselves and the increase, they are working hard and have already made me a good amount of money although will be pocket money in coming years
Flow rates rns has been lunch times recently going to go with a 1230 rns today or tommo with commercial and 600 boepd for UOG
All the best - gibo
Ah nice, I’m relatively new to this , brought 3k over from my pension to my SIPP and spun adding to Uog last couple years , this is my only holding now but have 700k shares now. I can’t withdraw for 15 years yet anyway so just leaving it in and let the team do their thing. No plan to slice till at least next year and by then hoping Jamaica farm down done and drill goes ahead . First gas Italy by then and also current well test results and next one or two Egypt wells online
Welcome JMAX very sensible decision, see link to presentation few weeks ago, uog is the first 20 mins of video. Note the slides production figures weren’t updated as had ash 3 added on but he explains that .
Also not current well test ongoing and to be added https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/943708/united-oil--gas-lonuog-presenting-at-the-proactive-one2one-virtual-forum-943708.html
Was a little nervous on this one due to the higher risk but looking promising , was 8 days apart from ash3 update rns to well test results so hopefully in week ish we have results , q1 report due start April he said in presentation so any day , great times ahead tullow 2.0
Look at UOG for recovery play, only 28 mill market cap producing 3200 boepd hair way through current drill going for 4 out of 4 successful drills , first gas on their Italy gas discovery in few months and 100 percent of Jamaica 2.1 BILLION potential which they are in process of farm out , fully funded for 35 more Egypt drills , most ex tullow board members , current share price 4.8 p broker price 28 p
As far as I’m aware 88e are not producing anything yet in build up to their current drill now 500 m market cap, not invested there and my whole portfolio is UOG but that’s surely a good sign when we hopefully get to a stage of drilling Jamaica
