If they are paying above the mid price for the bid/ask would you assume there are big buys in the background. L2 seems as though its paused but theres volume going through

Ive made the assumption they are buys and I had cash sitting in my ISA so topped up. looking at the trades today not many PI's are selling either so shows good resistance at this level, coupled with the placing price Im thinking the only way is up.
Anyone have any views on background trades, L2 and the effects on share price direction?

Looking at L2 I can see 0.5m trades in the background, the way the MM,s are stacking the 7.5p bids im assuming its someone buying. Anyone else have an opinion as Ive been spending the last couple of days trying to work out what goes on in the background on several of my holdings

Im uncertain whether to throw the kitchen sink in as theres a massive trade in the background. If the share price is rising whilst this trade is still unpublished im starting to think its a sell as a rising share price would maximise proffits for MM's. Whats eveyones view on this as im still learning and wont know until 4:30

Karl would you think if theres a 1.6m sell going through the share price would rise for the remainder of the day for the MM's to maximize profit before the sale goes through.
Its all just a game and unfortunately the majority of us dont know the rules

L2 on LSE only shows the cumulative vol on the screen, from what youve said and going back to the main screen you can see a discrepancy of 1.6m Shares, given todays general bullish trend i would assume that is a buy. we will have to wait and see.

For anyone not using L" these bids and asks can change regularly so its not a true representative of where the shares going, it just gives you a feel for the price at that instant in time. The MMs can change these bids and asks as and when they wish

All i can see looking on level 2 is the bids and asks from all the MMs going up and down in a 10% range so as to make the MM's 10% on every trade whilst we are sat waiting for news.

This isnt a dig. Please educate us Karl

How can you tell that Karl, ive just upgraded to level 2 but cannot see how that could bee seen.

Is there anyone on this BB that is clued up with regards to L2 that can explain why there are additional bids and asks from additional sources other than the MM's for this stock
Im assuming its traders directly accessing the market via L3 but dont understand what they are doing as the bid was higher than the ask for a while and neither from an mm. Any info would be greatly appreciated in my quest to obtain a deeper understanding of the market
