What they sometimes do is increase the spread like that and put a high ask price up at close eg 1.10 when you could actually buy at 1.06 so that then on open tomorrow they can drop the ask price to the actual price which then makes the share look “red” which in turns entices panic sellers and stops momentum. #knowthegame
