Apparently Tuesday the chancellor is going to make announcements. A lot in the Sunday press and this morning on tv.

Hopefully the government forward think and scale up the hospitals down there like they have the diagnostic testing capacity. Not that I am hoping for a break out there, I have massive respect for the community attitude it should be admired as it is something that is lost on selfish London attitudes. All the best

Flip it the other way. Once those coastal towns have to travel say to London as that is where most business is do you give them a London style beating when you don’t recognise the accent....again prime example there is a couple in the coastal resort I mentioned who travel down to London once a week for essential business, eventually they are going to have to travel to London....

Good healthy debate parkez I think you’re correct. The attitudes are always quite different. I think London/city attitudes and age group attitudes are very different and when you hear that the under 40 even under 50 aren’t dying....just saying a lot will change when meals can’t be put on the table. Was discussing with a friend what happens when it is eid in a couple of weeks....you know there will be gatherings. Always a bigger dog around. What happens when the Cornish want to see family and say they’re from London...you going to beat your own family. I use this example as my family (who I have not seen in months now) live by the coast in a small town they grew up there so everyone knows everyone and the family name, so when I eventually go up there with my London plates how do people react considering this, if this is accepted then the next family is accepted and so on....

Anyway sorry for clogging up the board. What is obvious is that the diagnostic testing sector has now become key and is here to stay hence why I see a longevity with novacyt.

Yeh then you weigh it against the decreased deaths due to “normal flu”. The increased deaths sadly due to suicide, domestic violence, those not getting treatment or going to hospital for heart conditions, cancer etc. It is just another way of leading to survival of the strongest as they say

We are going for herd immunity globally let’s be honest. You aren’t going to be able to lockdown the country again people just won’t have it. I live around London and bar pubs and restaurants being open everything is normal again people travelling about in cars, walking, parks full, friends together etc. Police just ignored it. I even know of beer gardens operating on the silent and then lock ins.

USA have already accepted the virus and are just acting near enough normal now.

European countries like Spain Greece etc even Dubai etc. are already desperate for tourism to re start. You starve the world to much with restrictions the world economy would simply collapse and money wouldn’t be worth the paper it is printed on.

Testing will obviously be absolutely key now but we have just got to live with the virus. I believe more the lockdown was just to buy time to understand the virus a bit more, put testing measures in place, response protocols, ppe, nhs space etc. When I speak to businesses they are already back to manufacturing and distribution as they say if they don’t they will simply be gone in a matter of months. So it’s either herd immunity or social disruption/riots/chaos etc.

As that is the “whole test”. From getting the swab to running the test in the lab and the man hours of staff. The steps to a “test” and the people involved. Swab - to lab - test (genesig) - analysis (staff) - report back (result)

Probably does make sense so they don’t get media etc. Due to testing being in the lime light. Novacyt is one element (ok the key element) to a test. Prenetics are the consortium doing all the donkey work. Getting all the equipment. Distribution of swabs. Collecting the swabs. Getting them to the labs for the staff to run the tests on the equipment to then analyse and report

Roche wouldn’t go and sit behind a tiny prenetics. Do the research.

I am the same Sorry. I only found it after others posted about the premier league then did a quick google and realised. Roche wouldn’t have let someone else put a name on their test taking the lime light. So yep I would put very good money on it is us being us as it could only be novacyt or Roche. U.K. manufactured and all, happy for oems and flying under the radar etc.

Bungle - Anders got there. how many antigen pcr tests last month were who approved...Very very good chance it is our test wouldn’t you say then. What comes up googling the company and when digging into prentics . I remember everyone getting all confused with home testing then realising oh it’s just the swabs that then get sent to the labs where the “actual” test is done.

According to this which is usually accurate it says results (forward looking statement and update) is on Monday. Tomorrow the last day for UK to get in before then as Friday is bank holiday. Could be interesting tomorrow
