I know very little about share dealing and certainly even less about the relative effect oil /gas prices have on share prices. So could any of you ' experts ' suggest the likely share price of SLE when we start trading again ?
thanks in advance .

I certainly don't think this is make or break, things have changed recently in terms of the perception of 88 in my opinion . The USA hype for one , also the large amount of acreage we have is now a really big plus factor given the restrictions on NEW leases that Biden is likely to enforce. I, like some others on here, strongly believe that one or two of the 'big boys ' are sniffing around 88 . Lastly ,I think it's beginning to sink in to some of the 'waverer's that we have several other things on the go apart from the current drill.
SO, I do not believe we will go back to the darker days if this current project is not particularly succesful ,although I personally hope and think it will be. So good luck to all and stay a while it will come good in the end !!!
The difference with 88 and red and black is that on the roulette wheel you get an even money bet , here of course you could be talking ......5---1 , 10 --1 25--i etc ,etc
yes both 50/50 on losing your money ...but ,hey , huge benefit if we strike the oily stuff !!
I noticed that 88 were tipped as 'a share to watch ' in the Mail ' , whilst this seems positive for us holders I, for one, am a little bit edgy since I backed a company ( BNN Technology ) after a similar mention in the Mail and it has /was a complete disaster !!! ( Totally my fault for accepting the hype ! )
That said I strongly believe we could be on a very big winner here .
However ,like many on here , I'm wrestling with the problem of : Do I play safe and sell half ( giving me a free ride ) or do I go for gold ( oil ) .......risk the lot !!!
HE WHO DARES RODNEY ...............( usually ends up in A & E !!! )

If I am correct, and there is one of the big players sniffing around, I would guess their offer would be somewhere near 10p,
at that price (given uncertain results in this business ) most of our shareholders ( including Mr Wall ) would bite their hand off .
In my opinion.
Hi Norfolk 12.53
Yes we seem to be in the same boat ( No, not on the broads !!!) I faced exactly the same dilemma yesterday afternoon but after my regular 6 glasses of wine mid- afternoon i seemed to have suddenly summoned up the courage and' held '
funny how wine helps !!
good luck , if it goes wrong at least you've salvaged something ........ I ,on the other hand might have to sell my boat or rent the wife out ( no decision really ,I CAN ALWAYS GET SOMEONE IN TO DO THE WASHING !! )
I've been on board for just over 5 years and have averaged down to 1.3p
I've been on board for just over 5 years and have averaged down to 1.3 p ( 3,500,000 shares )
there is no doubt in my mind that something strange is happening so if one looks at the clues maybe a reasonable
conclusion can be drawn:
1) Biden will certainly make it more difficult than Trump to aquire new leases ( the big boys need land !! )
2)Mr Wall resigns ( he probably does not want to work under anybody and could certainly come out of this very rich )
3)I believe that some time ago a group or syndicate of some kind bought into 88 ( what if they were charged to look closely at the running / prospects/acrerage etc,etc of 88 )
4)Eric is extremely well respected in the exploration field
5) there must definately be oil somewhere on/in 88's acreage
My point is , I believe there could be a very big player having ' behind the scene's ' discussions/finalizations for a buy out !
This would definately suit 88 since that was their intention in the first place !
Assuming the right price it would certainly go down well with us investers given the up's and downs over the years.
I , for one , ( who lives in a little place in Norfolk ) would like to live in a BIG place in Norfolk !!!
All the above is my opinion only .
I do not know what is going on at the moment but I believe THERE IS A GAME AFOOT !
am I right in thinking that D W was given share options ( about 2/3 years ago) @ 3p. If this is correct then the way share options work I believe ,is that the recipient has the option (after a set time of say 3 years ) of buying these shares ,at the original price of ,in this case 3p, or relinquishing the ' Right '
If this is the case poor ol' DW has got to go some to secure any benefit given the current price!!
any comments ?
I don't know how other investors are feeling but it seems to me that this board is worryingly quiet.
We have had no updates or news from AVO and given ( as far as i'm aware ) we are supposed to be live testing toward the end of this year you would have thought there would be more discussion and general excitement starting to build up. After all, this first treatment is of mega significance for the company and ,more to the point, the investors. Why is it so quiet ??? .
Any thoughts anyone ………...Is anybody out there !!!!!
TD. when I said their catching Bass up here , I didn't mean me ! I'm getting on a bit now so I'm a warm weather fisherman only now! Looking forward to a successful drill in Feb so I can buy my own beach and put a heated shed on it !!!
Nice fish at over 7lb. M y best ( after 50 years of trying) only a mere 5lb. Good luck to all 88'ers .
