Chuffchuff, I was thinking the same. I was also thinking that if Newmont were going to buy us out, being the major holder in the venture, that they would keep the work running. That makes me think that the buyer is going to be GGP. But it could work the other way, too. I'm leaning towards GGP buying the lot. Win win, either way :)
Redtrader, not read all of the posts over the last few days, but some of your opinions caught my eye. You seem to think that Newcrest thought 60 million was too much to pay for the 5%, yet they turned down an offer from SD to buy 5% for 85 million. What’s your opinion on that?
Thanks
In Greatland we are talking about a group of people who have built empires before - this is not their first Rodeo. I think people forget that we are no longer the rag tag explorers that got lucky under Gervaise. These guys are professional managers of Tier 1 mining companies. To them, taking on 100% of Havieron, and maybe Telfer, is what they are all about. No fear there. That’s what gets them up in the morning. Very excited to see what they have planned in the next year or two.
