And of course being long haul, IAG is not as restricted to seasonal peak travel as the other short haul operators are. Once things clear up, people will still travel further afield for holidays in the sun, and business to US. IAG is more an all year round carrier than those that make the bulk of their money in summer season.
Nice to tread water, but once there is more info that is accurate, I see this only going 1 way, despite the bumps along the road.
A lot of people have been saying this all along since the deaths decreased. Its ridiculous that the gov still thinks it is appropriate to lockdown with so little deaths. As others have said, I think there is more on the agenda than covid, more to do with meeting reducing CO2 emissions for the year.
I got my full allocation of Open Offer and all the extra shares I requested - HL currently have them as a separate line, but no doubt will be consolidated into my others at some point today/tomorrow
Seems like the placing was very successful.
Basic Entitlements in respect of 4,350,859 New Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 87.0 per cent. of the Open Offer Shares. Less optimism than them over on RR board, they are having a party haha. I tend to agree tho, there is no fixed or set date, and could still take weeks for it to reopen despite their best intentions to do it quickly.
Good news but its not a done deal yet.
The policies will be part of a new “Atlantic Charter” the pair will hammer out over the coming months.
A bilateral taskforce will “work to explore options for resuming US-UK travel and ensure that the UK and US closely share thinking and expertise on international travel policy going forward”

Daimler, you need to research more about shares and divs if you dont think the SP will be affected by the amount of div paid. The only saving grace is that this is a special div, so may not drop the SP by 30p, but it will certainly affect it.
sold out at 40.2 last week, anticipating a new drop with all the new indian cases.
