Good to see your post on here at least 777D, during this "news blackout" am feeling a little! positive after seeing how high the crushed ore is being stacked on pad 4.It looks 6 to 8 metres high to me, surely it means that they have cracked the percolation problem?. Why stack so high if not?. What do you think?. Regards George.

Sorry to see you people suffering on here with funding issues, just as we are with BHR, hope we both get sorted. Remember this, the very weakness of the coal price at the moment will become its strong point as it easily undercuts the price of other fuels.You have a great resourse, worth hanging in there in my view. Thankyou for your good wishes, i am wondering about those new leach pads just announced, as one poster has already remarked, could they be fully winterised leach pads, maybe with some form of heating to encourage the reaction that goes on in the heaps. I was under the impression that the leach pad capacity was big enough already for the plant upgrade.Also extra crushing capacity planned, looks like these things are the result of the investigation in to through the winter working.I do not expect another plant shut-down this coming winter.Regards to all, george

Yes, CAMLs costs are really low, just under a dollar /pound or about $2,167/ton it must help that they leach straight on top of their tailings dumps without having to dig the ore out of the ground.They have just dug drainage channels around the edges of the heaps to take the copper solution away to the collection ponds.If FML can only get its act together we have better grades,a lot more copper and a first class production plant. george

Not so, last year was one of finishing construction and optimising, this year production will be for real.Just look at CAML, they took 2years to get it right and now look at them.

Yes. we can dream, but BAITIMIR is only one of our resources, check out on the FML website the results of drilling at BESCHOKU and YUBILEINY in 2004 to 2006, its in the archive section. And as you rightly say we now hear that the resource at BENKALA extends beyond the perimeter, worst case perhaps 6 metres, best case all the way south to SOUTH BENKALA! Regards to all george.

CAMLs CEO has said that temperatures in their part of kaz are now dipping to -24c, -25c and still they are producing!, shame we dont hear anything from our lot. But it shows what can be done when FML does get it together.With our resources 3 times the size of theirs (BENKALA +SOUTH BENKALA -2.2 MILLION TONS CONTAINED COPPER) and a SP of only 2p this is the better long term investment for me. By the way Nigel you are right about us being a year behind CAML, i had hoped it was about 4 months but events have proved we are about a year behind(some would say a light year behind!!!) You cannot but admire the progress that CAML has made this year,over 5000 tons of copper sold, share buy backs and now a special divi.We can only hope that FML will up its game next year and achieve something similar. CAML did have the advantage of operating a small pilot plant for two years to optimise production, it only took simple maths to optimise for larger amounts of ore.But they are producing trom tailings dumps with low ore grades and there is no reason why FML should not at least equal their performance with its higher grades and state of the art plant.FML did encounter problems this summer namely voltage regulation and water purity, both resolved i understand.It hurts to say that the SP is about right at the mo,having earnings this year of about $5million and market cap about $50million,lets hope for 5000 plus tons of copper next year. Hi Nigel, we most probably will just get an AGM statement on Friday morning, hoping for further production news.I must add some people have compared CAMLs better than expected production results from their new(started in April) SX EW plant with Bencala.It must be remembered that they had a pilot plant operating for 2 years before the new plant came on stream, no wonder that they have been quicker getting into full production. I understand that a recent broker visit to Bencala hugely impressed the visitors, we will hear about it in the new year. Regards george.

hi Nigel, was a bit of a shock to see production was only about a third of what i expected, whats going on here?, are they trying varying the strengh of the solution, together with different EW times?. i can see that would take a while to get just right. Have the electricity problems been fully solved?, could they be waiting for another EL cable feed?.I am sure that they WILL get it right, just taking a long while, even bought a few more yesterday, I hope to go to the AGM on the 7th, have lots of questions to ask.
