Whilst I have no more knowledge than you as to what’s actually going on, I assume they are awaiting the independent analysis of gas composition, to make sure it marries well with their onsite data. They weren't able to easily separate the He data from H2 by their own mass spec analysis, probs the H2 peak would've interfered owing to abundance.

Officecat with your vast knowledge of testing, perhaps you could advise the external lab they are using, and whether they have a backlog

Also with your vast experience please advise how they would test intermingled He/ hydration samples with just field equipment
