[CHL] Resource developments.As advised previously, Churchill continues to engage large coal and energy groups about potential joint venture opportunities at the EKCP. To date, four groups have completed extensive investigations into the project and are between 50% - 70% of their way through their respective detailed due diligence, including having appointed investment banks and others to complete valuations based on the project. Whilst these groups are substantially advanced in their investigations, Churchill can give no assurance on whether this will lead to an offer or whether any potential offer will be to the satisfaction of Churchill. The Company also continues to have ongoing discussions with a number of investment and project financing institutions.

[PEG] Petards Joyce-Loebl has been awarded a three year enabling contract to supply UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) Units and Establishments with private mobile radio equipment, ancillaries and engineering services.The contract is for an initial period of three years with the MOD having the option to extend by a further two years. It is a follow on from a previous contract for the supply of similar equipments and services which expired earlier this year and for which Petards was the existing supplier. Revenues arising from the new contract are anticipated to be in excess of £1m per annum over the contract term.Commenting on the award Petards Chief Executive Bill Conn said "The award of these orders demonstrates the broad capability held by the Group and recognition by the MOD of the high level of customer service and experience that Petards provides in supporting their requirements.

[CHL] Churchill is presently finishing the upgrade into categories of its 3.18 Billion tonne JORC-compliant resource and has experienced delays. The Company had already announced JORC -compliant classifications for 1.412 Billion tonnes (Measured 118Mt, Indicated 322Mt, Inferred 972Mt) of this global resource with the balance due to be modelled by July 2009. The remaining 1.768 Billion tonnes is currently an Inferred resource under the JORC Code and is being moved into Indicated and Measured where appropriate. This is now expected sometime in August 2009

The second major beneficiary should be United Carpets as it is alleged it will pick up some 20 out of the 46 close by outlets out of a possible 76 available outlets in total, which will instantly cause [UCG] to increase in value by at least 25%. With the closure of Allied, this could translate into an addition £10Mns in turnover for [UCG] according to broker Seymour Pierce.

[CEY] Centamin announces that it intends to apply for admission of its ordinary share capital to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority (the "Official List") and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities. Work has commenced on the listing process and it is anticipated that this work and a move to the main board of the LSE as a primary listing will be concluded before year end. The Board of Centamin believes that the Company has now reached a size and stage of maturity at which the Official List will be the most appropriate platform for future growth. The Directors believe that the move will result in the Company benefiting from an increased potential investor base, a higher profile and an increase in the liquidity of its shares

[CHL] With a market cap of around £45Mns it has cash reserves surplus to immediate requirements. With oil prices holding up well, coal as seen as a cheaper alternative, when [CHL] brings in its vast Indonesian resource, then the sp should rise significantly.
