Highlights of the finals show that Gross assets are up 90% to £45.3; Investments in properties up 158% to £36.7mns; rental income up 27% to just under £2Mns; Pre Tax Profits positive at £1.8mns from a negative £400k; NAV slightly up 10.4p/share from 10p. Most of this will be priced in, but Co says prudence in expansion plans but opportunities exploited when presented. A positive slant has been put on future prospects by the Board

If you on the members register by 13th June, you will be able to join in and share a dividend distribution of 1p/share. Share Price should respond well to this news in the run up to "cut off" date.

By increasing his holdings to 9.77Mns Mr M Stubbs takes his percentage holding to 13.1%, This looks like being stalked for a possible takeover.

SORL and CRC both performed well today, but both appear to have more upside in coming sessions judging by consistent good corporate news and solid share trading. RBS rights are well worth going for and you have to be in it to win it so if you are not a shareholder, now would be a good time to take the plunge.

EGM to approve scheme 2nd May. "Ex Rights" being 8.00am 6th May. Dealings in new ordinaries 8.00am 29th May. There will be a brief window when the shares are suspended between 2nd May and 29th May, during that time it will be an easy task to calculate 29th May likely opening price. What happens to the sp after that is down to normal market forces as we all know and is anyones guess.

As a tool, and it is one of many, it works well ceteris paribus. As does every other ounce of market know how and experience, If anyone could, hand on heart, and say the sp when the new shares start trading, we would all be very rich souls, but it does not pan out that way, but we have to use everything available to us. Most times we can have a pretty good stab at guesstimating. But the calculator if used sensibly points us in the right direction, many Corporate offices have that formula built into their systems anyway.

Hi madjok I fully agree with everything you say. The calculator is used to equate the theoretical way of calculating the value of the rights given two parameters. It is just one tool that I was taught to use, no more nor less. But it works as an indication.

Hi mad, I agree with you on the market price when cash call announced, but it was the offer document which laid out the price of the share at which the rights price was struck and it was the two prices that I used in my calculation, at the end of the day the calculation is the only one that can be used, it is the closing price of the share just prior to brief suspension and re-enter the market at a new price, which will be some way between £6 and the level at which they are trading just before suspension.

Hi madjock. I agree the current sp used is arbitrary, There will come a time when the market generally agrees the current strike price in determining the value of the rights, if we were to take the current price of £10.65 the Value of the rights is different again.
