Here is the short gist of the letter sent by my office to the Board of MMS. I think you will agree it has some searching questions. inter alia "Sirs"..... The recent share acquisition by Firebird?passin of a 21% stake acquired in the Business...... Had Firebird/Passin approached the Board as to their intentions, and has the Board offered up its approval, or otherwise or has it been knocked back. It appears to me that Firebird/Passin wants to get its hands on the Tunisian assets "on the cheap". I see the price of Zinc coming off slightly, but Asian markets are keen to buy in all that is produced in order to satisfy commodity requirements as a result of its infrastructure expansion programme....... Would shareholders be better off if Firebird/Passin did help them by taking an increased holding, and or invest more capital via an institutional placing. With this thought in mind, is MMS in need of further funding in order to exploit its Tunisian interests.......If the Board of MMS is against the recent new substantial shareholder, would it force them to pick up stock at a higher price......0r will it help them in its quest to assist the Board in achieving its objectives in exploiting the North African interests to maximise shareholder value. I notices that the market makers pushed the share price higher on the transfer of stakeholding, The origional plan was to realise some £500 millions, but to date the cash flow has been patchy......
