I am not so arrogant as to believe I'll know what tomorrow may bring.

That being the case, after studying, buying and selling stock in numerous companies in this space over the last 21 years, I (rather recently) carefully assessed the fundamentals of a total of 6 players in the CTV space. I invested heavily (for me) in four that I believed to be the most promising that had yet to run up to what I felt were astronomical values. Those being, in order of investment Dollars allocated, were MGNI, PERI, TRMR.L, and Acuity.

I also invested a bit into PUBM, and a tiny bit into TTD, just to see how that one played out.

So far my worst performer is a triple (Acuity Ads). And that's in a few months. I still have no idea which will be left standing at "the end", should that come, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see my 'losers' acquired at a level above where they now stand. Or they could go broke over the next decade. I've no idea.

BTW: My Magnite, the one I had the least confidence in, is a up 14.46 fold from my original average purchase price (this at today's closing price of $51.63) . I sold a bunch at $6-$7 to re-deploy both here and in PERI last summer, so I've actually taken around 105K USD out of MGNI and still have 46,000 shares remaining, free and clear. That tells me I've no idea I was actually "close to the target". Why did I not know I was actually on target with MGNI? Because I didn't know what the future would bring, that's why.

I think it was Milhous who put it in terms which I prefer...'only fools can predict the future' (or something very close).

About being in some of the winners 'from the start"...it's more accurate to say it was multiple starts with some winners and multiple losers.

This "overnight" success I'm enjoying has taken me 21 years. I first invested in Virage in 2000. VIrage was all about video over the internet. That was bought by Autonomy, into which I "filled my boots", and Virage was integral in what followed as blinkx, etc. The rest, they say, is history.

I've never waivered in my belief in the space. The companies in which I invested within the space are another story...things evolved over the years. Lots of changes in the presumptive "winners" throughout the evolution. That's one thing which is for sure.

The above being said, 'only fools can predict the future'.

We ran pretty far pretty fast.

But nothing like MGNI in terms of obscene price runup. I've been saying since MGNI was $6-$7 it was overpriced relative to PERI and TRMR.L. Magnite is even more over valued now relative to those two. Even with the drastic pullback over the last week or so, it's over valued by any sensible fundamental metric, other than the fact that this is a disruptive technology in a disruptive sector.

The pullback in the above mentioned stocks is healthy. It was due. The fundamentals have not changed. Things are playing out pretty well so far from an investor's perspective, which is my perspective.

It is a lot of fun to be very heavily invested in a disruptive technology and sector from an early price point.

Oddly enough, I've never heard of them until yesterday. I heard mention of the company and a possible IPO, or something, and said to myself "what kind of a name is that?"

Other than that, I know nothing about them. Looking at their website, they've been around in one form or another for about 34 years. Sorry I can't be of any help on that matter.

What's Milhous' problem? Who on earth is sucking up to me? I suppose a bit of civility around off topic discussions is not deemed acceptable.

This is a true story.

As I was reading the posts about my hero Yogi, there was (is) a story on the morning news (right now) of a gal who was up in some serious wilderness in Alaska, staying in a yurt (not at all my thing). She went to the outhouse to relieve herself. As she sat on the toilet seat, she was bitten. She jumped up, then left to find her brother (I think it was her brother) and told him something bit her backside while sitting on the toilet. He went to investigate, opened the seat to expose the waste hole, and sure enough, a bear was in there with all their waste.

They do not know how the bear got in there, or how he got out.

Now that I've aged out of having "relations" with hot chicks, I suppose I am of 'good character'. I wasn't when I was younger. I basically had one thing on my mind, and it wasn't talking to or getting to know them, other than in bed.

Dependable, yes. But one got exactly what they'd be told to expect from me. Even when I'd find the occasional female whose company I enjoyed, commitments lasting more than one to five years weren't part of my program after my one and only marriage. It only took once to learn that expensive lesson.

My previous lack of concern about losing my electricity in our horrible ice storm lasted about 4 days. I will be entering day 8 in a few hours, and thought I'd let you know I've taken to your solution to what has become an annoyance, to put it mildly.

I finally moved out of the hotel yesterday. Now at a friend's house. Lucky for me he's in Florida for the month. I would have come here sooner, but the snow was too deep to get down his driveway.

Funny, but my pal hates Trump, he's staying at the Trump Doral, and he's really enjoying himself. He's now re-assessing his evaluation of my pal Donald.

The old Andant(e?) and I got along every bit as well as the new Andant and I are getting along. I don't know why I bother to answer.

BTW: I love living in the "wilderness". As a matter of fact, I may be so lucky as to actually have something called electricity at my home within a few days. Pretty lucky, I am.
