I called it this morning for the fourth time to my wife (3 previous occasions about £6.70, £3.60, £3). But calling it for the first time on this board... For the sake of our marriage let's hope there's no fifth time. GLA.
Porky, if this was to go to arbitration and the contract says DHSC have to pay for the stock and they did not follow the contractual mechanisms to return the stock without paying then they would be ordered to pay for it regardless of whether they want to. If this was the case then I would be very surprised if Novacyt accept a 50% discount during settlement discussions. I agree that concessions have to be made for there to be a settlement but it is far to simplistic to say it will be 50:50.
Awaiting yesterday's PCR test count but it's looking like last month saw a new record for PCR tests (over 12 mil).
I'm looking forward to the day that a settlement and new contract is announced all in one!
That's a shame Brook, only 2 weeks ago you said you were in it for the long haul. Good luck with your future investment decisions. I'm hoping for the rest of us that this is a prime example of why such a high percent of retail investors lose money in the market.
Atisha, a 30 second perusal of your history shows that your contribution to this board is only ever negative and only in response to WBA. You both now have a seat next to each other as part of the GBB (Green Bin Brigade).
Apologies if already shared but post on linkedin a few days ago from Aida, a Clinical Performance Specialist at Novacyt -

We are getting a growth company at value prices.
CovidOp, I think you'll find NZ are smashing Delta. Just goes to show what proper leadership and trust in the Gov can do.

Interesting article. On the negative side, there is increasing pressure on the gov to do something about the tests which could see profits squeezed (although hopefully the cowboys would suffer most) or abolish them altogether (surely too risky?) On the plus side, the numbers that have taken tests are huge and should mean a very solid Q3 for NCYT

So this is just one school but it is already being repeated up and down the country. Bad for kids, schools, teachers and parents (and anyone connected). Good for testing levels...
Dear Parents,
As you are probably aware, we have had multiple pupils and a member of staff from Year 4 who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last few days. I spoke at length this morning with Public Health England and the Department for Education as well as Manchester Education Authority and received the advice that any staff member or pupil who came into contact with one of these people should go for a PCR test. I am pleased to hear that many of you are regularly using Lateral Flow Tests on your children and this is very reassuring, but when one has been a close contact of a positive case it is necessary to have the more accurate PCR test at a test centre.
This morning I went into the playground and spoke to those Y4 parents who had brought their children to school and explained the situation. Most Year 4 parents then took their children away to arrange a PCR test. Others have arranged tests for later in the day. The government guidelines have recently altered and are not as stringent as they were last academic year so, according to the newest update, a close contact, who does not have symptoms, does not have to self-isolate, but should go for a PCR test as soon as possible. Those Year 4 children who were not in school on Monday and therefore were not in contact with the positive cases in the 48 hours before they began displaying symptoms have remained in school.
Please see an excerpt from the government document below:
Self-isolation exemptions
You’re not required to self-isolate if you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:
· you’re fully vaccinated
· you’re below the age of 18 years and 6 months
· you’ve taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
· you’re not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
NHS Test and Trace will contact you to let you know that you have been identified as a contact and check whether you are legally required to self-isolate. If you’re not legally required to self-isolate, you will be provided with advice on testing and given guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19. Even if you do not have symptoms, you will be advised to get a PCR test as soon as possible.
Unfortunately both Year 4 class teachers, will not be able to come in to school for the next week but they are busy preparing lessons for the Year 4 children. From tomorrow they will Zoom in from home to school and the classes will be supervised by other members of school staff. Year 4 parents, you may bring your children in to school as long as they are fully well and do not have any Covid-19 symptoms. If you have not already done so, please do arrange for your Year 4 child to have a
Hi Soder, I concur. What's more, PCR testing is already close to an all time high. January was the biggest month, 12.3m PCR tests but July only a tiny bit behind and August over 10m still. Oh and then you have all the private testing...
Remember ladies and gentlemen (and Dylan), the bull run started on 7 September last year. At that point it was agonizing and demoralising with a lot of false starts to the sp. I felt daft putting such faith in a company which the market had seemed to write off but all quickly changed.
Will lightning strike twice!?
