Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Saw that the SP was down yesterday morning and thought I managed to top up at a decent price at 9.2 (averaged down to 11.17). Seeing todays charts, I wish I'd waited!
Thought we'd seen the last of the 8p range. Not to worry, all being well I'll still be here this time next year. Just hoping to have an extra "0" at the end of the SP's
-Wednesday morning optimism in a very pessimistic week-
Numerous articles over the weekend have said JB will NOT go to any streaming platform and that the studio has turned down offers for the film (and 12 months rights to it) of over $600m.
Clearly there is an expectation that the film will gross double that when a theatrical release is allowed.
This is nothing but great news for CINE as studios are holding on for the cinematic experience and the cash that flows with it.
Anyone else see the refusal to put James Bond on PVOD as a huge boost?
Turning down offers from Nextflix & Amazon that are said to exceed $600m to stream the film, suggests the studios still know the big money is at the Cinema.
… but what the hell is AxeCapital all about. They're like the harbinger of doom or the real life embodiment of Sadness from "Inside Out".
I'm all about being realistic but the posts are just depressing to the point or needing help
Out of interest - can someone explain if this is a good or bad sign?
I was only saying yesterday how this board seemed to feel like a different place compared to a few weeks ago when it was full insults and negativity. Such a shame to see it revert back in such a short space of time.
I'm here to learn some new things and hopefully make some money while doing it, seems like others only come on here for an argument and to clog up the board preventing us newbies from getting a break
Cheers Ex. Have to say that the feeling on this Board has changed a lot (and for the better) in recent weeks. Genuinely getting a sense of community and offers of friendly advice are always accepted graciously
We've all been waiting for that final piece of good news that will make this all comes good. As I said before, I'm only in for as much as I can afford to lose as such I will never make my millions here. Saying that, I stand to make enough to make this all worth while and that's as much as I need right now.
Novice, I'm new to all this with AMGO as my first investment. I'm in for even less than you (just over half of your holdings). For me right now, this is an amount I am willing to accept to see disappear if this all goes wrong but I am enjoying the rollercoaster ride - and hopefully learning a lot along the way.
I sometimes feel silly following the board when I am in for such a small amount but being new to all this and (relatively) young, I find it fascinating.
Like you, I bought again this morning and got my average down to 11.49 - I'm just waiting on a positive RNS to see if all this waiting has been worth while.
Seems like the AMGO volatility is on overdrive today! Huge swings and it's only 09:30Hrs
Managed to grab some for 8.4 which brought my average down from 12.1 to 11.49 so I am happy with that. Won't be able to turn a huge profit but nice to see some blue in my Amgo for once
Hope it's not a case of throwing good money after bad, but I've been in Amgo for long enough to see this a long term investment, albeit one with a few (many) bumps in the road.
Ex, I'm 35 so a long way from retirement! I'm holding long and hope to get some extra pocket money on the back of AMGO re-lending at some point this year. Saw Covid as a good opportunity to start building up some savings again... well that was the plan!
I started with AMGO at (14) but managed to average down on the dips so I've now got an average of 12.1
How can the share price be 11.14 when the bid is 10.76 and ask 11.10? I always thought SP would be the average between the two.
Sorry - showing my lack of knowledge, I only started investing in June and only in for a small amount (though enough for me) to be interested to see how this all plays out.
I know Cine is a bit battered and bruised at the moment but am I being really blinkered in thinking this has a bright future.
Moody's downgrade isn't great news but SP hasn't fallen that far and with the reactivation of the unlimited accounts (I hold one) regardless of films being released or not, there is a steady stream of income each month. Add to that James Bond's imminent release (music video for Billy Eilish's Bond song has just dropped making me more confident that this won't be pushed back to 2021) things are starting to look good?
Couldn't resist a little top up - brought my average down to 12.1
Wish I'd known about this months ago when it was in the 5p territory but then I only started investing over summer as something to do with the extra money I had. Lock down was a pain, but with everywhere shut I was unable to spend anything and my finances looked pretty rosy until I put it all into Amgo!
I've just topped up to bring my average down to 49p. Do you think this will go any further and if it does, is it worth picking some more up? Hate to think I am now throwing good money after bad but as an unlimited card holder (3 years and counting) its a company I believe in and want to do well!
I'd like to point out that I am small fry compared you guys with just over 1000 shares in CINE,
Do you think if we break past 50p we stand a chance of staying above? I'm in at an Av. 51p so tantalisingly close to being blue for this account
Does anyone think that the FCA Court Case having just handed down a judgement finding in favour of Business Interruption Policy Holders (albeit likely to be go through an appeal process) will have a benefit on the finances of Cine?
I got in at 10p and topped up more today. Seems to be flying at the moment
Couldn't agree more.
I'm in my 3rd year of unlimited membership and I've been to the local cinema 4 or 5 times since re-openening. While seat numbers are lower (though I expected this for re-runs of modern classics), there is still a steady stream of people in the cinema all parting cash for the experience.
There are so many films waiting for release in late 2020 and into 2021, we will see people willing to go back despite having to wear a mask or not.
I'm new to all this too.
Bought yesterday but I'm small fry compared to some on here. I'm only in for a couple of hundred but a decent rise will make for a healthy return as I'm just dipping my toe in the water.
Hopefully a lot of people will make some decent money on AMGO going up to pre-covid levels
