So
A Russian oligarch who owns about 1/3 of TUI shares for about 15 yrs is sanctioned, yet TUI are still trading, how does that compute when RA is sanctioned and Evraz are suspended!!!!!!
In a roundabout fashion i think alex you agree that Zolensky ducked up.
As someone mentioned previously about Spain, at leat they are talking and after all, if they gave a little of what is a lot that they have it may have shut Putin up for a while until he can be over powered and past it.
I hope your prediction on FXPO being a long term hold as already lost put on EVR!!!!
Some would say thats the gamble, but with EVR it was only due to one individual and cannot for the life of me see why the masses have to be punished. Typical small minded Britain!!!!
Totally agree JohnNth
I feel that if the gave up the Donetsk region, or at least agree to a referendum (possibility of cheating and corruption aside), there would be a lot less lives lost!!!
Piutin cannot last forever and despite what folk think and appears to the case, there are those in Russia that don't want Putin, just that that is not apparent as there is a news blackout of Russian news, moreover, the UK and US want to show support for Zolensky and pushing him further in to the war zone any constantly supplying arms, which i am sure they are getting paid for.
Look at the recent talks that the G7 were at and the jibes coming from Johnson about having sleeves rolled up or being bare chested, whats that for except provocation to such an agreer as Putin.
Some say you cannot keep what was never yours in the first instance!!!!
I wonder what will be shared at the AGM at the end of the month?
Bumper profits maybe, but alas, we cannot distribute anything as we are suspended so we will keep it all for ourselves!!!!!
OK, so EVR has a number of plants and mines in Russia, but that was also the case other operations through out the world, including when it was allowed to be listed on LSE. I am not sure, but i imagine there is one or two large institutions who are major shaeholders here who knew of the operations in Russia and as we are all aware, someone had to build the tanks etc for the Russian army and all the other armies in the world. Not that i know if they did or not, or if this is the reason it has been suspended, or if it is because RA split his massive dividend with Putin, if it is the latter, why not just freeze his holding in EVR, if they produced tanks or manufactured the steel, i imagine it came from there Russian plants, why not just insist in taking them out of the equation and installing a auditor to ensure EVR are trading as they should and not supporting the Putin war machine and for that matter, why have they not been audited since the military operation started.
My point at the start of this before it all snowballed to my latter comments is that the work knew of EVRs operations and possible tie ins with Russia, yet the world accepted there expansion plans, took there money for expansion, which inadvertently appeared to a lot of us as this is an acceptable company and worth a punt as it is just not centred on Russia, then we, the loser echelons of society get sucked up and left high and dry!!!
If and at the moment a somewhat relatively big IF, the war or the military operation comes to an end, from what we are drip fed by SKY and the likes, Ukraine will need a massive and a big MASSIVE building programme and no matter what the greens say, it will take a lot of steel, surely as a company, EVRAZ are in a very good position, manufacture/raw material ways and as shareholders, even though temporarily suspended, if it wasn't allowed back in to the FTSE, it still is a business, which would be sold possibly and we as shareholders would have a value in the shares we hold?!!!!!

Hi Infinity 8,
Are you said that if this is fully delisted because of the Govt sanction, the govt would have to pay us 682p a share?!!!!!
And what would happen to RA shares?
But if they freeze his assets and not the assets of innocent people, thats what needs to be done!!!!
The majority of the Board have resigned, chance to install a new board, i cannot see the institutional shareholders allow there holdings go up in smoke and if it does, i imagine there will be a sweetener from the govt that we won't know about!!!!!!
But once again the British Govt take what appears to me to be a easy way out, Canada apparently have sanctioned RA, but not Evraz, as they feel that the little people shouldn't be affected, which to me makes sense and what a SANCTION is about, it is supposed to have an affect on the person it is meant for, not innocent individuals!!!!!
Look at Chelsea, one cannot deny he done good there, yes, the money made it easy, but innocent people are being affected!!!!! Both those that work there and the fans!!!!
Why did the financial authorities allow this company to trade on the stock exchange, it seems they were all adapt to accept the dirty Russian money and it was known what Abromovich was at with it, so why affect the little guy, it is the little guy that looses out again. RA and all his cronies still have millions stashed away.
Like with Chelsea, why affect the masses, when it is only one guy in theory, why not just sanction him, Chelsea, cannot sell tickets, can go to an away game with pocket money, can sell any merchandise, have lost there main sponsor, cannot trade players, yet he has in a fashion divorced himself from the club.
So why nit just stop the money going to him and not all of us!!!!!!!!?
Unmarketable Parcels Share Facility
Think it about 10000 shares i have!!!!
Thanks lowtide
I guess this is stock is going nowhere?
What do you reckon?
Hi Folks
I have received a letter from Oilex (All Registry Communications to: Link Marketing Services Ltd, Locked Bag A14, Sydney South NSW 1235 Australia) about Share Retention and whether i want to sell my shares or hold on!!!!!
Is this a scam or genuine and if genuine what have other done?
Cheers
I like some on here was sucked in by the yak of DL
As a man that talked a good talk, but didn’t walk a good walk, except for his own kind and pocked, somewhat like SS.
Saying that we needed a DL, as flannel is what you need to get to where you want to.
Just watched a bit of a clip of DL in 2016, it certainly sounded believable, but there seemed to be a lot of Politician waffle, with little facts.
If there is gas there, what are wrong with the greenies, they need there houses heated, same as the rest of us and with them being more middle class these days than of old, surely this is it going to happen over nigh, we are still as a wold trying to get jabs in to people to protected them from COVID-19. Global warming and dealing with it is on such a larger scale, also, do they think the developing nations are going to listen to climate change, I fear not.
They are spending 110% of efforts in trying to go green over night, instead of actually dealing with the problem, so that the world can still function and that is a constructive and elementary way of dealing with the carbon.
There are billionaires who fly to outer space know, because they can, and what they cost in carbon is massive, why don’t they spend there wealth on ways of trying to capture it, so that we all can carry on as normal. Jeff Bezos has large warehouses in the UK where there are generators belching out fumes, to provide electricity to huts for security, and power there electric vans, how is that right or making sense. Like it all, the small man is the one that is penalised, look at the carrier bag scenario in supermarkets, why are we not provided with a paper bag, problem solved, it’s easier to charge us another stealth tax, we bend over and take it all!!!!!
Not sure what this fellow got this knighted for, he got paid handsomely to do a job, which he had plenty of others around him advising him, had load ofttimes of due to stress (HAHA - wouldn't we all like a chance to have that sort of a break as life to the normal neanderthal is stressful), then gets an honour from the Queen for her birthday for his services to the financial sector - Lloyds share price still languish doldrums!!!!!!
I always said that the honours list is a joke as it mainly honours those that are paid well for a job that they are doing and not those that go above and beyond. The only recent one that deserves is Marcus Ashford, who came from nothing, wanted to give something back and is a genuine down to earth guy!!!!
To all the sad muppets that voted to sell, my commiserations to you, that you were willing to sell yourselves short and not wait for another offer or the price to nudge higher to what levels they were previously.
All you have to do is look at other miners, AA/Antofagasta all on the march, same as Evraz, higher know that before the Pandemic and even halved in price through the Pandemic, and low and behold, owned by similar people, this was a chance for the small boys to gather together to get the best return, but then the individuals involved could possibly be so devious, we would get shafted anyway!!!!!
If thats the case how is it there has not been an announcement?
I see a good day for some miners, but alas not for us, it sounds like to me that we are being conned as small S/H again and feel that we have to hold tight, as copper and other mining will play a big part of the world coming out of the covid 19 mess it is in and to drive infrastructure forward, although the last post worries me a bit, if they delist we loose the lot, but surely that would be against trading rules!!!!!?
I appreciate that this may have been discussed over and over, but I was wondering what is the view on the takeover and should we agree of hold.
What is the view of the wise, as in 2018 it was up to over£10 for a whiled between 2006 and 2008 fluctuated between £10 and £15 and same between late 2009 and 2012, is it a case the small investor getting shafted again?
