for Covid-19 there were 67515 new cases and 2501 deaths recorded yesterday worldwide. This is what is known and most probably not the true figure. Unfortunately this is not going away for many months if not years to come.
unfortunately the seeds have been sown for a second wave following the mass protest gatherings that have been taking place this last week. Undoing all the care that we all have taken these past weeks. I hope that I am wrong for everyone's sake.
Covid -19 is a very dangerous disease and will be with us for years to come.
One of the reasons why we have the biggest Covid - 19 deaths per population is that there was no health check on the people entering the UK from the rest of the world from the start of the outbreak. Everyone entering the UK should have gone into isolation for a minimum of 2 weeks.
last night was all about increasing TESTING. The number of deaths in Italy has started to rise again and will continue now that they are all going back to church and taking Mass. Which I think was one of the reasons for their high infection rate at first. Then everyone was drinking from the same communion cup, as in all Catholic religious countries!
I hope that restrictions here haven't been relaxed here to soon.
My daughter thought that she may have had Covid 19 so she was tested on Saturday. Today the result came back negative.
What a relief for the family. Testing is the way to give everyone back their confidence to return to what we had as normal life.
My wife and I returned to the UK from Perth Australia via Dubai 18/03/2020. We didn't have a single health check the journey.
We arrived at Manchester Airport you would have thought that everything was normal. If this was the case at every point of entry into the UK it's no wonder that the virus was allowed spread as it has done. We both self isolated on arrival and have done so since.
My wife and I returned to Manchester airport from OZ via Dubai 4 weeks ago. There were no medical checks on us at any point on the whole journey.
It's no wonder that this virus got such a hold here in a very short time, if this was the case at all points of entry into the UK.
Fortunately we and our family are clear of this terrible virus.
