Onedownoneup I don't understand your post here. Business is tough and it's all apart margins and CASHFLOW. PFC have already stated that they are struggling to pull in cash receivables.

To put things in perspective and only as an example Carillion had 43,000 employees globally. Don't ever think the size of the company means they cannot fail . IMO. GLA

Neil I'm the same. I held for a few trades recently but I wouldn't hold ahead of tomorrow. Too risky for me. Yes I hope for the LTHS for some good news but I will keep an eye on this tomorrow for a 0ossible buy in once we have more visibility of any restructure.

Good post Neil. Yeah the shorting numbers are definitely a concern particularly increasing in recent days .....

This extract from last RNS is important with regards to their approach to honour existing contracts:

As noted in Petrofac’s H1 results, it is an industry standard contractual requirement to provide Performance Guarantees for EPC contracts. Banking and surety market appetite for the provision of these guarantees in support of the contracts won by Petrofac has reduced, resulting in delays in their provision. Petrofac remains in active discussions with its credit providers to secure the guarantees on the new contracts as well as with the clients of these new contracts. The measures being taken to strengthen the balance sheet are, in part, designed to secure future guarantees.

So they are not in a position to ask top dollar are they....

Guinness when companies are in trouble which the SP, shorts and press coverage and last RNS signals then all the talk of values, takeovers, rescue plans etc rarely return good results for shareholders. More likely assets sold off cheap, rights issue or share dilution. Of course we all have our opinions and each is valid. It's for the punters to decide on which way they invest my friend . Good luck

Hi Badvoc I tend to agree with you. The shorts know exactly what they are doing. Can see a lower SP here on Weds. Maybe a trade on at some point but me personally I would not be holding this before the RNS release

I wouldn't stay in this tomorrow before the update. Keep you powder dry. SP will move significantly up or down on Wednesday. Money still to make but if if plummets you'll get stuck
