Debenhams plc reported Group revenue results for the half year ended March 2, 2019. For the period, Group statutory revenue was £1,246.0 million against £1,319.2 million a year ago.

This was for the half year guys! And they had 12000 employees. Didnt stop them going to the wall. And getting bought out of admin as an online business for £55M .

There's alot of rubbish talked on this board

I do think some on here thought this had no risk at all.

It was just a case of putting your money in and doubling or trebling on the bid. If only love was that simple.

Good luck mate hope the loss isn't going to be too much. Like I said in previous posts I've taken the hits too. Nothing is nailed on in investing. I definately wasn't brave enough to short here. But the RNS's on Thursday I expected the No bid news. But the proposed financing is a body blow to holders who will get diluted.

As I said I'm not expert but didn't believe as alot of posters this was a double or treble your money in easy takeover news. The SP has been going the wrong way for weeks.

Alot of posters filtered me and we're in there own bubble . But like MaryB and others have said listen to all views

I didn't know much about IK but have read his post on Linkedin and fair play he bought an original 400k shares at 15 to 16p and the date he posted had made a bundle as the price was 48p. Surely he should of sold down in batches to lock in a profit and leave some to ride. So has he bought more since and what do we think his holding is?

If he still holds a significant amount here his 300% profit will TURN INTO A SIGNIFICANT LOSS HERE TOMORROW.

No wonder he's gone quiet. He won't want to be posting that news. Financially will hurt and also his self congratulary post on LI even talking about starting an Investment Club based on this prowess as an Ace stock picker.

Unfortunately the clothes are not Cool anymore. I mean who wears it now. Middle age guys.... Youngsters have moved on. The clothes were popular back in 2010 but haven't been updated.

The youngsters buy designer clothes now and will buy a Canada Goose jacket etc not a Superdry .

So much competition all over and the Chinese sites like Shein dirt cheap in comparison.

Lots of the SDRY stores are in major city locations and the operating costs for these locations can't be cheap. They are losing £1.5M a week.

The shares are basically on the Operating table now and JD will be the one to revive them at a cost to existing shareholders.

All these Posters including Dean01 expecting this to be 25p at COP tomorrow have had too many choccy eggs and Easter drinks.
