Cant understand the point of dividends?? 23p dividend and drop the price 35p . Always the same with dividends you get nothing for being a shareholder

I would like to buy in anywhere around 12.40. Bought the low of 12.55 and sold 12.85 this week. Another buy for longer term is what I would like. GLA

So I'm thinking is it worth trading these for say a quick 5% or to hold them for the income for 12 months? 80p divi not to be sniffed out but will the share price hold up . If only we know? Interested in holders views...

Looking at the stats and chart this looks like it's in recovery mode now . My view is back into the 13's next week ahead of the DIVI. All IMHO.
