Seeing as you specifically mention Freepoint, here's what's going on with them at the moment:-

South America (Freepoint Commodities) - QFI and Freepoint jointly met with senior management of a national oil company in South America, where there is an MSAR® opportunity for refinery refuelling, leading to domestic power generation and export opportunities that would reduce distillate import requirements for the client.

Mexico (Redliner & Freepoint Commodities) - Quadrise continues to engage with key stakeholders and decision makers in the energy sector to initiate MSAR® technology testing and deployment in Mexico. MSAR® opportunities include refinery refuelling, domestic power generation and fuel exports that reduce distillate fuel imports. QFI has recently met with a major independent power project developer, who is supportive of MSAR® deployment, to provide economic and environmental advantages to new build power projects.

So, in addition to the Morocco trial I'd say we're looking pretty healthy for turning one of those into a commercial contract. Time will tell but thanks for your concern

In the Canary islands where I live (population circa 2 million), over 55,000 individuals have received on-the -spot fines for lockdown infringements, and over 500 are languishing in prison. They are waiting for Morocco to open it's borders then we can commence the trial burn at the clients installation. It's all in the recent RNS:-

When we can gain safe access to the site, we will be able to commence the pilot trial and further progress the FEED study. The expected successful outcome of the pilot trial, and submission of the FEED study, will release payment for phase 2 in advance of the commercial trial agreements.@

It never ceases to amaze me how blinkered some people in authority are. They've known for decades their main source of income was finite, and yet they seem to refuse to diversify. The energy revolution is coming and they're perfectly placed to exploit it. Solar farms should have been springing up everywhere in this region for at least the last 10 years. Then when the oil eventually runs out, or it is reserved for essential uses, they can export clean electricity. I suppose it's a case of 'there's enough to last my lifetime'

Yes, normally 30% is the threshold for having to buy the company. There are exceptions, I have shares in a de-listed company that is planning to return to the main market. The major shareholder has over 30%, and collectively the remaining shareholders voted in an opt-out clause so that the major shareholder doesn't 'have' to buy us all out

Governments can also buy things 'not for sale', land in the HS2 corridor for example

I believe the California output is priced more akin to Brent, which is around $21, so presumably still profitable with costs about $13

The Company is continuing to pursue its strategy of listing on the Standard Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. While the Board is continuing with this strategy, the COVID-19 pandemic combined with the current low oil price and resultant high stock levels have caused delays. The Board and its advisers are therefore reviewing methods of completing the listing as soon as possible given the prevailing market conditions.
