Yes Simon , for some weird reason the union element within the fund has decided that after years of being invested and on the cusp of a major drilling campaign that they should not be invested due to the two following reasons

1.The DRC is a non desirable country to invest in due to it's links to child labour history, and Arc have a gold mine in the DRC

a .Arc no longer have that potential mine and have never employed miners or even minors in that country

b. The fund is invested in other countries that already operate in the DRC.

2. Arc is registered in the BVIs

a) Many companies that the fund are invested in are listed off shore around the world

b) The parent company of the fund is owned by many companies that invest and operate in offshore companies.

The logic is unsound so either lefties doing what they do, and a fund manager running scared or something a bit deeper

Chris-there's a few ICs on the web have a listen. You are right that Arc could sit tight and manage on the money incoming and "enjoy the ride" but I'm sure that the plans are far more expansive. Whatever ends up happening, after years of uncertainty we are now in a good place ! Cue trolls !
