I guess we are running into a flag formation intraday and then it will break out north or south...

I guess there 3 sensitive issues which short termed drive the SP:

- short positions
- negotiation regarding debt rightshift
- next news from the Alaska drill most probably this week

It is correct what you think, but the Saudi problem is not a price war "I am stronger than you!". The Saudi problem is that they need cash - and lost of it. As more as the oil price drops as more they have to produce and sell - even if its cheap.
They buy the support of their people with lots of incentives which costs Billions per month as cash out.

I am still of the opinion they cannot stand this current situation for very long.

And with yesterdays action the FED destroyed the entire positive impuls from Friday´s evening Trump´s speech.
If they would not have lowered the interest rate yesterday the markets would not be that red as it is now.

The Saudi family is playing a dangerous game and especially for themselfes a suicide game. They cannot stand that price level for long or they go bankrupt soon. They have huuuuge cash out monthly wise.
They tried it already in 2014 and it failed but by that time they were in better shape....

from Royal Shell. I guess the figures from 2019 are not that important but the outlook which might give an overall tendency for all oil stocks.

Intraday brent crude made several try´s to go through 36,40 and failed 4 times.
With the 5th its gone through! Nice intraday recovery but still red.
