There will always be shops as the British do shop differently to every one else. You only have to look at how many oversea companys that have brought a uk retailer and tried to impose a different format and failed and likewise uk companies moved abroad and failed. All they need to do is react quicker to shopping trends. Actually find out what the customer wants not what they think they want.
Too much focus has been put on profit and share price and all what goes with it. Customers want a seamless shopping experience, not being bombarded with questions about vip, subscriptions, customer survey and order in store. Have a range that sells in volume with a good margin.the average store must have five thousand lines, just how many sell in volume or warrant shelf space? The BOD need to be brave and not pander to the city.
