Could this be the bottom,If sentiment in geo politics change then the asset companies could do very well.

Sharing a thought with fellow investors, Read a few comments and articles that Lio could be prime for a takeover?

Anyone else seen or heard this.

Been looking at the RNS and no sign of institutional buying. There is only 67 mil of shares out there and a lot in free float. Would be nice to see these taken out which would shore up the price.

Also looks like Lio has been exiting IPX and Treat. Not sure what to make of that. Hopefully they have seen better opportunities and need the buying power.

Financials were the hardest hit with these tariffs

Nearly everything is up soon can't read any sentiment into why this is up today.

Ipx is up after poor news which looks tome that it was overdone.

However results out for Lion and if it is not good I hope that it has already been baked in the price. But if it meets expectations or better then a good sum,p is on the cards.

Someone had dumped a load today. Interesting to see if an RNS comes out in the next few days.

No short positions the future still looks good. The possibility of interest rates coming down can only help here.

Bonkers over sold. Possible short having to buy back ( however I bet they are counting on bad update) , tariff 90 day suspension, huge divi, Directors big buys at £4, Possible American money moving in.

I bet Lionshare are selling off on this news. They have been reducing for a while.

They own a fair chunk so it really will put pressure on the share price.

UK wealth managers say enquiries from US-based investors worried by the actions of Donald Trump and his administration and seeking to move money from the country have risen markedly.

Thought the news is out regarding the tariffs time to top up.

dropped to 23.5p and then that triggered a flurry of buys . may this continue. ****ney rebel still likes this and he has been on the money over the last few years.

Under £3 would push the%yield well up. Not sure if that would be great thing.

I thought I was getting a bargain at £4.

Back in Nov:

Liontrust directors bought up shares. CEO John Ions bought 60,000 shares at GBP4.50 each, worth GBP270,000, on Thursday, while a close associate of his, Paige Ions, bought 40,000 shares at GBP4.50 each, worth GBP180,000. Chief Financial Officer Vinay Abrol bought 50,000 shares at GBP4.54 each, worth GBP227,000.

They will not want to suffering losses like this for too long.

Not sure if they can buy at the moment because we are so near to the trading statement., But would be nice to see them get in again.

The near-term outlook remains ‘challenging’ for Liontrust Asset Management (LIO), which has booked further outflows in its latest quarter, says Berenberg.

Analyst Alexander Bowers retained his ‘hold’ recommendation and reduced the target price from 500p to 450p on the asset manager, which was little changed on Wednesday, trading at 404p, but has shed nearly 30% of its value in the past year.

A quarterly update from the group showed assets under management and advice (AUMA) fell 5% over the period, driven by outflows, partially offset by a small positive market movement.

‘Near-term flows remain challenging to predict and we expect the business to remain in net outflows in the [next quarter],’ said Bowers.

‘However, we believe that the business is well positioned when investor sentiment returns for the business’s core strategies – UK mid-cap and sustainability – with the asset manager operationally geared to benefit from a recovery in these areas.’

Well on only 8 trades at the moment we have dropped 10p today. Absolutely bonkers

Directors were in about the£4 with some significant buys.

Would be nice to see a turn soon. At least it is the whole sector getting hit.
