I hadn't, but just read it now and yes I do recall you saying that. Our SP rose from 8am yesterday not 10am, from where it continued it's rise through yesterday. Like others have said, I believe there are multiple factors at play, as the SP rise indicates, not just Adagio news.

I'm sure your neighbours and probably 90% of the USA population have never heard of Humira, Eliquis, Enbrel or Stelara. Now you might think that very odd seeing as they are the top selling drugs in America! Me too! But it doesn't matter if the public has never heard of them. Big pharma and US Govt have and that's why they are the top selling drugs in the country. Joe public need never hear our name - the people who place orders are the only ones who matter. For the FDA, there are a host of submissions and related interactions (referred to as “pre-EUA” activities) that will be in progress. After that comes the request for an EUA.

Sixthree, I concur with SIze82. I take comfort in the fact that the NIH and US investigators (the experts in pulmonary medicine as opposed to share-covering journalists) would have also considered the same points, yet they chose to progress SNG001 through to Activ-2P3 nonetheless. It is good to look measure all downsides against all upsides, only then will you get a truer picture. No one knows anything, correct, but we know the results and safety profile from of P2 and they were pretty exceptional.

Sng2022, I'm hearing similar things from family in the US. Camps seem to be very divided on it (much like N/S divide or Rep/Dem politics), very polarised, I think more than in Europe. Bear in mind though that it was heavily politicised very early on in the US, people are understandably tired of it.

"The initial release, on Nov. 29, was based not on lab tests, but on Adagio’s understanding of how its antibody therapy, known as ADG20, attacks the virus that causes Covid-19. Adagio (ticker: ADGI) said at the time that ADG20 attaches itself to a part of the virus that is generally unchanged in members of the family of SARS-CoV-2 mutants to which Omicron belongs.
While ADG20 is still in clinical trials, and won’t be submitted for regulatory approval until the middle of next year, Adagio shares rose about 86% on the day of the announcement. The company’s CEO, Tillman Gerngross, appeared on CNBC that day, talking up the drug.
“Our antibody, based on a sequence analysis, is likely to bind to Omicron and not lose any of its neutralization potency,” Gerngross said on CBNC’s The Exchange that afternoon.

Adagio said it is now “evaluating next steps” for ADG20."

The good thing is SNG001 has other uses - that cannot be overstated enough. We have a cushion that Adagio dos not have.

They stoked their SP massively in the run up, that has got to hurt. They bigged it up without any concrete data, and that was tuly unwise. Glad we are on a steadier ship, whatever lies ahead.
