There is some false narrative today that there will be no support in governent for this if it returns good P3 trial data. That is balloney. There will be no mass manufacturing until they place their orders on the table, that's the message from Synairgen and that's hardly remotely surprising. 1st data, then orders. Nothing new here.
The less the Conseratives and Government are involved in this stage the better. They couldn't organise a pis$ up in a petrol station.

About the cash position TT, from the RNS:
"The current cash resources are sufficient to cover the above plans up to and including the read-out of the Phase III results and existing committed costs for the next twelve months to September 2022, regardless of the outcome of the currently ongoing Phase III trial.
After due consideration of these forecasts and current cash resources, the directors consider that the Group has adequate financial resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future (being a period of at least twelve months from the date of this report) and, for this reason, the financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis."

Kevin1977 that's a fair question and one I hope too that I also hope will be touched on in the Q&A. What we perceive to be competitors may well be much less of a worry for valid reasons to the BOD (mostly having extensive Pharma experience already), but I would like to hear their thinking on it nonetheless.

It doesn't even take up by brain space, No. I've been invested too long here to run flapping like a goose everytime someone claims to have the wobbles. I'm playing the long game, I always have. I've weighed up the risk/benefits and in all my years this is the one investment and BOD I'm willing to stand behind. I've done as much DD as I can or care to. It's very simple -> a few more weeks versus the potential payback from what could be blockbuster billion dollar drug. We established long ago that this isn't a First Past the Post Race and that SNG001 is novel enough to claim it's own space in history in a wider market beyond Covid. Tell me, which would you choose?

In a nutshell, it's ticked all boxes for me. Well done RM and the BOD. Excellent hiring choices too.
To read a minority of comments this am is to weep a little at the lack of vision, but such games are to be expected, we are invested in something with huge potential.
I'm hoping for some nitty gritty questions later, particularly around EUA and BLA timeframes from the analysts.

I agree Skippy, if people are expecting the sun moon and stars, they may be disappointed and any ambiguity will be exploited. But, we've been here before and it matters not a great deal in the grand scheme. I have set my expectations - update on progress and as you say idea of next steps. I have faith the BOD will get the messaging right with their new Head of Comms on board.

Frankly, I'd be happy if they did bail out because those are not investors but I live and let live. They are the actions of people looking for a quick buck, or 10, and I am not here to judge how people make their money. The fact is those traders usually never remain beyond one or 2 spikes in SP anyway. They make their money and move on. Some of the big II's have been behind Synairgen since the 25p 2012 days, I am sure that they will see any potential delay in context of the risk/benefit reward. Their eyes are on the big prize not the day to day uplift. I can't say which way it will go but those investors won't be scared off easily. What you may consider a 'delay' on Friday, a large II may view differently.

The FT piece was published yesterday. I don't think the FT is in the business of publishing content that's over a year old and dressing it up as current. Even the article comments were posted since yesterday. Synairgen also tweeted (yesterday) "Richard Marsden, CEO, recently spoke with

'Congested' is the wrong way to look at it Docdaneeka. If Dr. Collins is to believed (and I very much hope that is the case seeing as he is NIH Director and heavily involved in ACTIV trials), you could add another 10 candidates to that list and it still wouldn't be 'congested'. Not all drugs will make it through. As they keep saying, they want a toolkit of therapeutics, options, multiple drugs that can be used in combination, they want drugs that work at different stages of the disease, they want long shelf life, they want virus-agnostic, they want user-friendly and they want drugs that work in different ways to counter resistance. SNG001 has the potential to fit such needs. Great as they are, some variants can cause resistance to one or more of the mAb therapies. So there is plenty of room for drugs showing promise even after MABs are authorised. Think of it not as 'congested' but more 'keeping your options open'. Even if they were to come up with one drug that kills Covid dead on 1st dose (most most unlikely), the market would still require choice otherwise governments become too dependent on 1 or 2 big players. We've seen how this played out with the top vaccine makers and it was not ideal.

On the FT article, I can't see how RM would be talking up his own book in the FT this (particular) week, if his book wasn't worth reading. Why would you waste your time and squander the currency you hold? Great soundbite, simple effective messaging. Forwards into battle!

In order to maintain competitive advantage, as an investor I would hope they would not divulge certain manufacturing details. 2 things I know for sure that are public knowledge ; (1) the product design (which device and any add ons etc ) will have been selected with safety and efficacy as paramount rather than cost and (2) manufacturing at scale will result in (presumably large) synergies and cost savings that won’t be reflected in single item costs on the internet.
Another thing that is oft overlooked when it comes to pricing is the economic value provided by medecines. Docdaneeka posted an interesting post earlier which ties into this. The economic value can be colossal and needs to be balanced alongside costs. I’m sure the company are focussed on reducing costs where possible but hopefully not to the detriment of the benefits the drug.
