Conversely, they also quite often win. Each to their own. Is there a perfect strategy, I wonder?:)
In 6 Moths, this May-fly and Bee 20-30p. Tick-tick. (All in my Bumble opinion).
Sorry fellas. I was looking for the VRS BB. Seem to have blundered into the Ctag one by mistake. Funny. Thought that had gone;) Please accept my apologies.
Just spoken to HL Dealing peeps who could not give a proper answer because we do not know the terms of any offer yet. They may, for example, give us an option to sell the shares, in which case this transaction would remain inside your ISA wrapper. If not, your shares could be transferred to your Fund and Share account if you have one, (deposit £1 to open one), in which case AN Other could sell them for you. Fund and Share a/C outside ISA wrapper so would be subject to tax. I'm waiting to see. Gla.
Gaz. Hope I'm wrong, but perhaps they know something we don't. ;)
Hi Jimbo. Been an investor in Morri since I was a grasshopper so seen all the rocking and rolling over the decades. Await tomorrow am with interest but the only mention of Thursday announcement I've seen is your post. Couldn't find it anywhere. I now do two days for a contractor of Morrison's, and am appalled by their management style. The choice is that you either do it the Morri way, or you do it the Morri way. Hey ho. Regards. Froggy
"36 signatures now. At this rate, we should see a discussion in parliament in about 25 years time". Signed and shared.on Facebook. 121 I think. Suggest everybody also shares this on Fb, Twitter and any other awful Social Media site. Works for Trump! ;)
Just got this snippet from a site called Gala Fawkes. What a bunch of conniving wretches Foe are. Apparently, they are not alone in this trickery and I hope the charity commission sorts this pronto. Some might say "fat chance"! "When members of the public donate to Friends of the Earth, they think they are giving money to a charity, not a limited company. Their leaflets neglect to mention that donations actually go to Friends of the Earth Limited, the political wing of the organisation, instead of the charitable trust. Why the distinction? By directing donations to a limited company, FoE avoid being regulated by the Charities Commission. This means that if they distribute leaflets with false claims – such as the above porkie claiming the silica used in fracking fluid is carcinogenic – they escape censure. If the donations went to the charitable wing of FoE, the leaflet would breach regulations on charities fundraising by deception. The Charities Commission admit this is confusing for the public and will look at their rules to address it" https://order-order.com/2016/02/01/how-friends-of-the-earth-dodge-charity-regulations/

I think you are right.
Agree RT. Anti frack man came across very badly with both poor arguments and delivery. Thought interviewers were good and did not leave themselves open to accusations of bias. Let's hope this will eventually lead to better things after the long wait. SP on the up. :)
Thanks for the info,Flyby. My friend is not at Board level, so I can only give you info as seen at employee level. Very positive about new CEO and in particular where he came from. He sees the in vending as a game changer, not because of the concept, ( a couple of competitors), but because of the way they do it. He tells me that Brammer is the only company to keep it all "in house" whilst others vend via third parties. He seems to think that Bunzl are very impressed with in vend. Seems very relaxed about the company and sees it recovering from what he considers to be an overdone sp drop. Thanks again for your response. Knowledge is everything.
I have been asked by a friend "what is BMMEF, grey? He has been looking at the share price as he works for brammer. I'm afraid I do not know the answer. Brammer shows 117.50 and grey shows 110.00 at close. Any experts out there? Thanks in advance.
Gerry 557. "Well I dont mind a lower market share if the offset is higher profit and bigger dividends. Why hold onto stores that loose money even if they give a bigger market share? I could sell £10 notes for a fiver and my market share would be 100 percent ..... well until it went to zero abruptly." Good morning. I agree, and I am in no way advocating the apocalyptic scenario you suggest. Sure, it is pointless increasing market share at zero profit, but if business can be poached from the opposition at a profit, who's arguing. The closure of unprofitable stores is probably inevitable, and I would hope that Morrison's will move forward using the many tools at their disposal. Here's hoping they'll get it right. They seem to have made a good start.
Patience. This was 60p not long ago. I think this will be £2+ within twelve months. Hope I'm right.
I have had Morrison's for many years, and it is only since our recent woes that we have not punched above our weight. The dividends have generally been good although I admit that value in the company is reduced. I think these results may show that the worst is behind us and that we can concentrate on the more important things like regaining market share. Morrison's is run by very sharp "market traders", and let us also not forget that, unlike the competition, we are manufacturers. All good, and long may it continue.
