Can anyone please tell me the tender offer date?

Remember what I said on Tuesday 10:48;
Hold your horses, we got budget coming and the risk of interest rate rises.
But David7015 POO POOED me, rather rudely I thought, saying "perhaps in line for the most naive comment of the day" .
I say spread your bets, dont put everything on RR, because you will have a long wait for return. It will come but money to be made elsewhere before RR makes a move. Hate dead money. PPS will be good long term and I have made great gains on First Group, Mastons today due to the budget. Good luck everyone.

(Sharecast News) - Transport company Firstgroup has proposed a tender offer to return as much as £500.0m to shareholders.
Firstgroup said on Wednesday that it was looking to return the money to investors by way of a tender offer at 105.0p per share, a 9.2% premium to its closing price on 26 October.

The FTSE 250-listed firm noted that if the full £500.0m is not returned through the tender offer, it intends to undertake a second phase to return any remaining surplus cash via a share buyback of up to approximately £50.0m, with any "meaningful surplus" above this likely to be returned by way of a special dividend.

That sounds a good offer. Where did you see that?

I believe, if they are doing a buy back that means they buy the shares themselves when the price drops to keep the price going up

Well I have a 20% gain so not sure how long to hang around waiting for what may or may not happen. Generally if they pay out the share price drops the same amount. But they could be just dangling us along so we dont sell?

Thinking about taking a healthy gain. Treated like mushrooms!!!

Absolutely second that. Stagecoach has done fantastic for me up until the past 6 months. First Group also seeing the benefit. I am doing well there as well.

Dont understand all this over Germany, yes they are phasing out, since WW2 they have become a country of caution and yes since the Fukushina disaster they have been determined to phase out ASAP, no changes there but the market doesn't end with Germany. RR SP is going up, its just when. I made a lot of money on RR swings, its one of the most traded shares but now I am holding. Good luck all.
